The experience

Feeding animals like horses and sheeps.
Preparing paddocks and hay for horses and sheeps
Daily routine work with cleaning and feeding for the cats inside the cathotel :)
It`s a lot of mjau and fur, but a lot of nice cats who wants to be cuddled.
Other daily routine work depending witch time at year you stay at our farm
Please note that because of the regulations, we can unfortunately accept only volunteers from the EU area.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Norwegian

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

Travel insurance

Program Details

Help with feeding horses, sheeps and cleaning in the cathotel.
We expect you to be motivated and kind with animals
Motivated to exchange culture and learn the Norwegian lifestyle
And we also hope you have some experience with horses, or at least you are not afraid of them :)


Activities & Shift

Starts 07 with bringing out some horses and feeding them, then eating breakfast and starting with feeding the sheeps before cathotel work. (sheeps are outside from june - october).
Routine work at the cathotel
Cleaning paddocks for the horses and filling haybags for them.
Filling in hay for the sheephouse.
Other farmwork tasks
