Activities & Shift

**Morning shift 7am to 12pm (morning shift times might change depending on staff availability, but always agreed with Nery beforehand) **
Shift starts with a quick reception check (See who is leaving and who will be arriving today). Collect pending payments (ideally none, as this should be all sorted out the day before at the latest). After the reception check, you will make sure that all tables are clean, sweep the common area floors and that all chairs and things are in their place for when guests start to wake up. It is SUPER important for them to find a nice place to chill after their sleep.
After this, you will spend 15-20 minutes doing a quick pool cleaning (super easy but always necessary and mandatory). All the previous tasks should not take more than 1 or 1.5 hours. Breakfast break could be right before or after the pool cleaning but always after the common area cleaning or before the start of your shift. At 10:30 remind people checking out to clear their beds by 11am.
Brush off any debris from all mattresses, then sweep dorm's floor thoroughly. Then sweep bathroom's floor and walls corners thoroughly, change trash bin bag for a new one. Then put sheets on beds for upcoming guests.

Check-in time is 3pm. But, if possible, guests could get their beds earlier if they are ready

For Sunset whenever possible invite all guests to watch the sunset and help to plan activities that would make guests feel a connection with everybody else (We usually play Spikeball at the beach). Try to grab everybody and take them out with you around town!.

If a guest is extending, ALWAYS ask for a review of their current stay immediately. Do the same if they are not extending as they move on to their next destination. Little hostels live and thrive out of the reviews!
