The reserve - Transformative Experience ★★★★★ My one-week stay was life-changing. The serene natural setting and welcoming community struck me. Under Gustavo, I immersed in daily life - learning cooking, contributing to projects, sharing music as a DJ. I felt deeply connected to nature and sustainability. Gustavo's wisdom and the community's stewardship were inspiring. I left with renewed appreciation for living in harmony with our planet. the reserve is a special place I will always cherish.

It was a wonderful week at a family project in the jungle. I helped with tasks like maintaining the guest dining area, rooms, and general maintenance with Gostavo. The kitchen work was inspiring, and if you were lucky u get to try Aida's famous pumpkin soup ♥️. Meeting Thomas, Karla, and Azul, a violinist from Colombia, was a delight. We worked hard on weekends and relaxed by the reserve, competing in kayaking and we lost to Gos and Aida Of course! Gostavo was generous, letting us try different rooms and tents. For genuine connections and a great time, this is the place with the right souls.

I really enjoyed my stay at the reserve! it's perfect if you're looking to disconnect, away from noisy tourist areas! i mostly helped with food preparation for the guests, but i also assisted in other tasks around the property, so the work was varied but quite easygoing. the accommodation was beautiful and it was enjoyable to experience glamping and spend some time in the nature

I spent a great week here at the reserve. Tavo and Aida were very welcoming and made me feel at home right from the start! Their resort is an incredible little piece of paradise, hidden well away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and touristic areas of the island. The work schedule was laid back and the tasks simple. So if you are looking for a place to unwind, take things easy and become acquainted with the Dominican countryside, then I 100% recommend that you check this place out!

My volunteering in the reserve was a good experience. Gustavo and Aida are amazing and warm heart people. There was also 2 other volunteers what was really nice. The accommodations were perfect and they really took care about what I can do and feel comfortable with. They pay lot of attention to not let the volunteers do dangerous things. Thank you for good experience.

I had a great experience! I felt welcomed immediately. The place is remote but being able to disconnect to connect with yourself, others and beautiful nature is worth it. The work could be challenging but seeing the results and working together is great. Gustavo and Aida are easy to communicate with and were very patient when I needed to clarify. They were accommodating to my days off and gave great recommendations so I could explore their home. Overall, I learned a lot about myself and sustainable living. I highly recommend if you want a unique volunteer experience.

The reserve is an astonishing place. Full of greenery and located 5min away from Rio Chavon. The place feels like you are lost in the middle of nowhere and it was perfect to reflect on myself and read books. The work asked is super easy and vary from day to day. Sometimes at the beginning I wouldn't understand when I had time off but from the second week it was made clearer. I came here with no Spanish skills at all (which was a bit hard sometimes) and left with a super good base to make myself understood in any situation. I'm very grateful for this experience and for the chance to meet Aida!

This was my third (Worldpackers) volunteer experience and by far the most memorable. Gustov is a great person, and it shows with his commitment to providing a naturalist/ecofriendly environment for guests. I kept an open mind during the entirely of the volunteer experience, a great mindset to have when experiencing something new. Being disconnected from the city life was very therapeutic, not to mention doing a variety of tasks. Gustov will challenge you and keep you entertained. He goes out of his way to ensure your experience is life changing.
