The experience

The school was started by Alex, family and friends to help children in Muke village in Zambia grow and facilitate a quality education.
The school starts by eight and finish at 2pm, they provide food and school materials only through donations.
Volunteers are welcome to come participate in caring for the children of the school, teaching them and playing with the little ones and every found raising for the school is very appreciated.


What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

The volunteers will stay at the guest house next to Alex house and near the school. the lessons in the school are from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 2.00pm. The volunteers can join the preschool/school in the morning helping the teachers and creating some activities with the children, after school you will eat the local food Nshima with Alex’s family and in the afternoon you can help Alex with various activities like social media, found rising, activities in the village.
When you don’t have any activities planned you are free to explore around the village, go canoeing on Zambezi river (5 minutes walk), go horse riding, bird watching or having a refreshing afternoon in a swimming pool of a lodge nearby.


Rules

Let Alex know when you are moving around the village and out of the village.
There is no drinkable water and we can provide you just one meal per day but there is a small shop in the village in which you can find everything you need.
Please keep in mind that here we have animals like dogs, cats, hens, duck and more and we also have insects around.
