I loved this first volunteer experience. I stayed for a week in the main house with Luis and his 3 cats, while there are 3 cabins to rent in the garden. My missions consisted of helping a little with the housekeeping, and participating in the renovation of the house: painting a room, a little sewing and mosaic... The place is very calm and peaceful, right by the sea, with sloths and monkeys passing through the garden, perfect for enjoying nature. Luis was very welcoming and gave good advice on how to enjoy my 2 days of rest and visit the surrounding national parks. I will definitely return!

We had a great experience at the hostel. The property is next to the ocean and the garden is full of coconut trees and wildlife, sloths and monkeys were regular visitors. The work is physical and there is always tasks to be done, but it's fun and it's rewarding to see a project coming together. I was generally gardening, painting and built a wall from eco-bricks and my girlfriend was housekeeping and helped on a mosaic floor from recycled tiles. Caleb and Luis were lovely hosts, they helped us with Spanish and gave us lots of information about the area. Gracias amigos.

My stay at the hostel was great. I loved to talk to Caleb, Luis and John. They were very helpful, respectful and open. The tasks were very diverse and interesting (from sanding bamboo, to sewing mosquito-nets to painting the kitchenwall). I was able to adjust my working hours to the weather, thanks to their spontaneity. I can totally recommend volunteering at this place.

Such a good experience for my first Worldpackers volunteering! Caleb and Luis were very kind and I really enjoyed all the tasks I was given. The nature in Cahuita is really beautiful and this was a perfect place to relax after over a month of hectic travelling.

I loved the experience! You really get to immerse in Costa Rica Nature and culture, the place is beautiful in every sense you're gonna learn a lot about many things, Caleb and Luis are lovely hosts. U should keep in mind Costa Rica it's very expensive and the hosts are not providing any food, but there's a lot of things to do and many places to go! enjoyed every second!

Me and my friend spend one month in the hostel with Caleb and Luis and we had an amazing time! We talked with them, they showed us secret spots in Cahuita and we also met a lot of locals that became friends for life! You can see monkeys and sloth in the backyard that has an amazing view on the ocean. We loved our experience and the work we did especially the ceramic table. We would recommend 100% this worldpacker!

My best friend and me stayed for a month at the hostel and we had an amazing experience! Luis and Caleb are very nice people and they showed us the way they live and places to visit. This town is very welcoming and there are a lot of activities to do after work! This World Packer was our first and we really enjoyed our stay, meeting international travellers that stayed in the hostel and leaning about the Caribbean and Costaricain culture. Leaving our mark on the hostel is really an exceptional experience, from creating art to meeting people! We really hope to come back one day:)

One of the most fulfilling weeks of my life. The Hosts were awesome and shared their culture and knowledge with me every day. We had a lot of good laughs and experiences together. Although I was only there for a week, I can't stress enough how perfect everything was from location to Hosts to accommodations and workload. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Cahuita is a beautiful little place on the Caribbean coast and I had a great time with Caleb and Luis. Both are very open and receptive people with a lot of attention to detail, which you quickly notice in their house. They gave me various tasks, none of which were too difficult and which I enjoyed, and they always made sure that I had everything I needed. I particularly liked that we occasionally ate together and that they took a lot of time to teach me a little more Spanish. Thank you for letting me be so creative and for learning a lot.

Caleb and Luis are really great hosts! They were very kind, welcoming and generous with me and I had a really good time staying with them! Also the location of the place is truly beautiful and from a walk distance you can go to the city, to the cahuita national park, to the beach and more. They have a lot of renovations to do on the house, so not a 5star hotel for sure, but the good side is it that makes a lot of different things to do for volunteers. I would definitely recommend going if you have some building or renovating experience or skills!
