The experience

Building a chicken coop can be a rewarding project that provides a safe and comfortable home for chickens. We will provide a basic guide to help you get started. Keep in mind that the specific details may vary depending on the size of the flock, local climate, and personal preferences. We will discuss and devise ideas together.

Knowledge on carpentry, animal coop building, and understanding the animal is important.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

We will do together the planning, foundation, get the materials, the design. The host is very flexible with ideas and he will love hearing the volunteer input on it. Here, you have creative freedom!

Activities & Shift

❇️ For all of our volunteering positions, you will need to be able to work without much supervision, connecting with the host via WhatsApp during the day for questions.
You have the freedom to work your 5hrs per day shift in a flexible way, respecting your own working pattern. Host is available in the house at evenings during the week,
and every weekend. For this reason, we ask that the volunteer work on Saturdays & Sundays, and take the days off during the week.

🎲 During the night, the host loves playing games with the family! We will play some badminton, Carrom board (a traditional Indian game) and more. It is the moment to chill out, connect with our culture, and have deep, interesting talks about life and nature.

Rules

The volunteer need to have prior experience on carpentry and coop building.
