Exterior-grade plywood or oriented strand board (OSB)
Screws/nails
Hinges and latches for doors
Roofing material (shingles, metal roofing)
Chicken wire or hardware cloth
Ventilation materials (screened windows or vents)

Steps:

Planning:

Determine the size of the coop based on the number of chickens you plan to keep. A general rule of thumb is about 2-3 square feet per chicken.
Plan for features like nesting boxes, roosting bars, doors for easy access, and adequate ventilation.
Foundation:

Start by creating a solid foundation to keep the coop off the ground and protect it from dampness.
You can use cinder blocks, wooden skids, or other materials for the foundation.
