I had such an amazing time at Hotel the hostel! Antonio and his family are great. I didn't get to see Antonio in person but got to meet his sister and parents. His sister Aurora and her friends were very welcoming and I feel like I really got the real Toro experience. Work load was perfect as it was less about the hours and more about just making sure you are on track and getting your task done. I did painting and felt the time spent was equal to what was agreed upon. There is a really pretty balcony which I enjoyed painting on and eating meals up there. Perfect if you want a relaxing escape

My first Worldpackers experience at the hostel was amazing! As a solo traveller, I was nervous, but Antonio made it easy by sharing the bus schedule, and the hostel is right by the stop. Though he wasn't in Toro, he was always helpful, and his friends and family were super welcoming—offering rides, good company, and lots of support. My task was flexible and stress-free. Big thanks to Aurora and Francesco too! Toro is a small, charming town with lovely people—I'd love to return someday and stay even longer.

I highly recommend staying at the hostel in Toro :) the hostel is cozy, comfortable and in the heart of little town Toro, from where you can go to the city of Campobasso. I applied for the artist position and enjoyed my creative work which was very flexible and satisfying :) the only suggestion is I'd like to contact more during the stay with others, but it was agreed on previously that I would be the only volunteer then. Overall I highly recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful time with the hostel and Antonio. Lovely location, and the hostel is lively with previous worldpackers' artwork. It was flexible, had great communication, and was overall a very fun and relaxing time.

I had an incredible experience in Toro, and I'm sad that it's over! The other volunteers and the locals were wonderful, and made my time there more than worth it. If you're looking for a strict routine and planned itinerary, this isn't that. At the hostel you set your own pace and create your own projects. Guidance is loose. My favorite parts of volunteering here were the Toro bridge, nights in Campobasso, and talking on the terrace at the hostel. I made lifelong connections. I will treasure my Summer in Toro. Thank you so much Antonio for hosting me, I hope to come back someday!

My stay at the hostel was nice, unfortunately i was all by myself but it was still a cosy place which is surrounded by nature. Even though Toro is small, there's a nice local community there ! The job is easy, no pressure and you will work in a safe environment. Keep in mind english is not their first language but antonio and his family will always try to communicate as much as they can with you. :) If you seek for nature, calm and authenticity you're in the right place !

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was amazing! I had a lot of creative freedom in my work and the hours was what was planned. Antonio and his family are lovely people who made me feel really welcome as well as help me basic things like driving me to places. Overall I recommend:)

My experience at the hostel was incredible! Unfortunately Antonio wasn't in Toro due personal reasons but we kept in touch always to be aligned with the ideas for the videos and photos for the hostel instagram. I felt very welcomed since day one with Antonio's family and it was very nice to get to know everyone here in Toro. The place is beautiful and very peaceful! If you are looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature, that's the place for you! Grazie Mille! 🥰

I enjoyed my time at the hostel. I will say it's a bit tricky to get around with there being limited bus times and you have to rely on antonio or his sister and friends for rides, but if you're flexible with that you will be fine. I was disappointed because the website said we would have bikes available and that was not an option for us, and I also never ended up seeing Antonio. I was still able to get around and da day trip and go out one night in Campobasso, but spent a lot of time in Toro chilling and working on my tasks. Just be aware that the town is tiny, but beautiful.

My time at the hostel was an experience I will never forget! Antonio and his family were so welcoming and were kind enough to show myself and the other volunteers around the neighbouring regions of Toro. Toro itself is very small and quaint which could easily become boring, but if with good company it is a very beautiful and special place to explore. Tasks were also very flexible and easy, making the experience seem more like an exchange that a job. Thanks so much again for everything!
