In Ingles Rapido the school I got to know a lot of local people and students. The voluntary is pretty chill, the academy has a very dinamic way to teach and to keep students motivated and having fun. Also you might participate in a group game or activity that are really fun to do. The hostal is a few meters from the academy so its a very easy going voluntary

The teachers and staff were excellent and very friendly. Jocelyn took the time to explain everything in the beginning and enthusiastically welcomed me (she may have downplayed how many videos I would be in by a lot...haha). Anyhow everything was lots of fun, the students ranging from 10- 70 years old were happy to practice great experience whenever given an opportunity,

I had my 3. voluntary in the SALC and came there to support language courses & activities (Cooking/Music) in English. At the end my daily task was practicing dialogs with the students and get to know each other for 15min. The students were very friendly and interested in learning English which is why I still had fun at work :) The cozy hostel & good restaurant was nearby which was practical. Dear SALC Team, thanks for the experience! One fact you should definitely add to the description is that you record the volunteers. I didn't feel respected when I said I don't want that...

I was volunteering alongside Máté (couple's volunteering experience) and we had a really great time! The team is really nice and keen on making you learn about their culture and talking with the students of all ages was also a very great way to immerse in the cultural exchange :) Some things about the organization could have gone quicker but I think it was also a bit slow because it was our first volunteering and we didn't really know what to expect. Now we definitely want to do more!

We volunteered in this center for a week and had an amazing experience. The team developed a very interesting method to get people to learn English with a mix of classic exercises, speaking practices and fun activities. We got to discover a lot about Ecuadorian culture with students of all ages and have a lot of great memories to take back home with us! However this is not a volunteering for a very shy person, given that you will also have to record multiple videos for their social content. Also they are very adaptable so don't be afraid to tell them about your expectations or dream schedule.

I had an amazing time! Such an incredible opportunity to interact with students of all ages. The school is beautiful and modern, and the activity spaces are gorgeous. Ideas for conversations and activities are welcomed and expected -- put your creative hat on and you'll have a blast! The teachers are phenomenal and bring a ton of energy to make learning fun. The students are incredibly well-behaved and enthusiastic. The hostel is just around the corner. It is basic and clean, with a great location on a hiking trail. Speaking some Spanish is helpful to make the most of your stay in the school.

Overall, the experience at the school was rewarding. I got to work with motivated students who were appreciative of my help, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating., even when I couldn't teach for a day due to illness. They were helpful in encouraging the students to practice their English speaking, even though it was an intimidating experience for some of them. When I arrived in Ecuador I found out that my location and hours changed but I adjust ed quickly, and I knew the choice was mine to adjust or not. And I had plenty of time to explore Quito.

Gracias.

It was a positive experience teaching at Ingles Rapido the school. I would definitely recommend this experience if you enjoy teaching all ages in an interactive and engaging environment. At the English school, I focused on conversation classes and we did 1 cooking class with the students. I stayed in the hostel that is next to the institute in the school and I was able to meet friendly locals and immersed with the local culture. the school is a small and peaceful town with great hiking paths however it is quite far from Quito. Thank you for your hospitality.

If you are considering doing this voluntary, I can just tell you, "Do it!". I really enjoyed my stay with the family because everybody welcomed me like a family member and invited me to game nights or small trips around Quito. Besides, Quito is a beautiful city with many things to discover (I recommend going to TelefériQo!). In the English school, you mostly work with the students on their speaking skills, take part in activities (like cooking classes or small games), and do some publicity work. Thanks for this marvelous time! 😊

The host Edwin and the team overall were nice people. At first he replied to my messages quickly but then became extremely unresponsive often. My accommodation was in Quito in a separate suit attached to the host's complex. The suite was run down (my front door was extremely unsafe and broken) and in an unsafe neighborhood. You also need to commute yourself to and from the school in the school which is 3 buses+1.5 hours (which isn't initially disclosed). The school was good, everyone was friendly and it's in a beautiful building. However unfortunately it was disorganized.

Thank you for your comment, different from what you wrote in our certificate, which was a very good comment.
I always responded on time, acknowledged all communication on time and of course, you lived in Quito because you definitely decided to.

There were several proposals, the correct and correct decision to have was due to your own determinism.
How sad this comment is, it is regrettable. It goes against what we thanked you for your volunteering, we did give you an excellent review, because it truly deserved it.

But I cannot change my point of view regarding the things you communicate, which are 80% not true. I thank you.
