Volunteers are essential in schools as they contribute to various aspects of education. They can provide individualized attention to students, support teachers with administrative tasks, and assist in extracurricular activities. Volunteers enhance the learning experience by offering diverse perspectives and skills, and they often contribute to a positive and supportive school culture. In addition, their involvement can help address resource constraints by providing additional manpower and expertise. Overall, volunteers play a vital role in fostering a collaborative and enriching educational environment. to help the teachers shape the future of the students.
In collaboration with the Ghana Education Service, volunteers can have the opportunity of teaching any subject of a choice regarding:
ICT (Kindergartens, Primary, Junior High)
History (Kindergartens, Primary Schools and Junior High schools)
Mathematics (Kindergartens Primary, Schools and Junior high schools)
English (kindergartens, Primary Schools and Junior High Schools)
We have found the lack of adequate number of staff in schools very problematic. The ration of one teacher per number of students can be quite overwhelming. We aim to bridge this gap by recruiting as many volunteers as we can to help in the understaffed schools. Volunteers are not here to replace teachers but to rather work hand in hand to shape the future of the next generation.
Volunteers will work together with local teachers in the schools to take care of the students. Volunteers are advised to bring smart casual clothing.
Volunteers should expect a dedicated and committed team here that is ready to go the extra mile to make sure your stay in Ghana is every bit as memorable as they imagined it to be
