The stay at the hostel in Trikala was very peaceful and wholesome. If you are looking for a quiet environment in the middle of rural Greece, this is the place for you. The tasks were very accessible and the timetable was flexible, Dimitris gave us a lot of freedom and suggestions on activities to do, and I connected with a lot of local peoples in an authentic way it would not have been possible otherwise. I really recommend the experience!

Dimitris was a great host! Tasks were easy, just doing the laundry and keeping the reception open, and times were flexible. Visited the hostel which was amazing! Trikala is a cozy town but not that much to do so wouldn't recommend staying more than two weeks.

The experience was great. The place is perfect for someone who have to work remotely. The only thing is that if you stay more than two weeks, you will have nowhere to visit or to do after like 2 weeks. Their is no much to do on town. But the host and the works is not a problem at all.

I've had a wonderful experience! Trikala is a cute little town right next to the hostel and apart from visiting the hostel there is not too much to do around. My stay was in October when there weren't too many international travelers so depending on the season you might have a lot of time to yourself. The work itself was not hard at all. Just a few check-ins, laundry and keeping the dorm room clean. Communication was good and Dimitris was always trying to recommend activities and helped in planning my weekend trip. All in all I felt very welcomed and can absolutely recommend it! :)

I spent a whole month in Trikala with two of my friends helping Dimitris in the hostel, he is an amazing host and was very helpful towards us, always helping with the buses or any question that we had, the work was very easy and the only thing that was kind of heavy was the laundry, nonetheless if you are accompanied or listening the music the time goes by very quickly, I recommend going to Platamonas if you have the chance, it is very beautiful and it has beaches. Close to Trikala is a river so you can go there when it gets hot, the city has also a lot of social night life.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel, it is a quiet place to rest for a week or two, the work is mostly reception or laundry but was quite a light workload while I was there and dimitris is very flexible with hours, meaning I got to have some time off and explore other areas. It's quite a quiet town but has a 25-30 minute bus ride to Kalabaka meaning I could hike most evenings!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel! Dimitris was so lovely and gave me great recommendations for visiting surrounding areas and restaurants. The work was really chill, just checking people in and laundry, and I met some really lovely people here! I had a really great experience and would recommend this to others if you are looking for a smaller town and like hiking and nature :)

I had a really great time at the hostel. Dimitris was an amazing host, the work was easy and the hours were super flexible. I helped with check ins, laundry and a bit of cleaning but most of the time I was just waiting for people to check in. The hostel itself is pretty quiet and I ended up with the whole dorm to myself quite a few times. The other staff were also really nice and the few that didn't speak English were happy to use google translate. Trikala is a nice city although I don't think there is enough to do if you are staying for more than 2 weeks.

I had a really good time in Trikala. It is a small town but it is easy to move around the nearest villages by bus. The hostel was great and Dimitris was really helpful explaining the work that needed to be done. He also showed me some places to visit and how to go there. I would really recommend this experience for anyone willing to work abroad. The only inconvenience I could find is that the food (apart from breakfast) is not included, so I would consider the expenses before going, apart from that the place was great and the workers there (Lena and Vivian) were really kind and ready to help.
