HI :) It was an excellent volunteer, the tasks are simple and more when there're several volunteers. Commonly the work was performed in the morning, so you had free from 1pm which was great to get to know the hostel. Since day 1 I communicated to Moises my plans and places I wanted to visit, he was very flexible and I recommend many others, also if you are lucky that he's unoccupied, you can take a walk through the city or nearby places. I felt like home, definitely.

My friend and I volonteering at Moises for a week and we had such a great time. Moises is such a good host, gêné tous and very friendly! He is taking very good care of you, tasks are clear and easy. Breakfast every morning is so good. As well Moises loved to take us out to discover the city, the local foods and drinks. Muchas gracias !

My experience at the hostel was fantastic, Moises is the kindest host and really cares about the volonteers and the work was super easy! You will have lots of free time to see the hostel and learn about the city. I had a perfect stay!!✨️

The work was really easy and only a couple hours in the morning, we had to wait around a bit to get keys to carry on cleaning or for the next instructions but it was okay. Moises always made sure you had a filling breakfast and was very catering and caring. He also showed us around town a little and how to makae popsicles! The kitchen is in the bedroom so can be quite noisy / disturbing when trying to sleep and the general hostel age range was older and if you dont speak spanish can be a little isolating but overall a good easy experience :)

Overall my experience there was good. The work was not hard, just cleaning and changing beds, it was only in the morning so i had the day for myself after, the breakfast veery delicious and a lot of food, also the host gave us lunch in the days we worked hard (i was there during dia de muertos), he was also very welcoming and wanted to share with us the culture, traditions, told us stories. What i didn't like was that during the days of the dead, he booked everything including couches so the sleeping situation was uncomfortable for us, also the work was not well organized. Thank you!!

Moises treats volunteers well and breakfast was great. Tasks and hours were as agreed. However, during Día de los Muertos the experience wasn't pleasant. Me and other volunteers had agreed to sleep in a room across the street since the hostel would be full. Moises gave that room to another guest and wanted us to share the bed without even asking her permission. I ended up sleeping on the couch, which he also rented to someone else to make more money. It was not ok. Communication also needs improvement. Moises struggles to delegate tasks clearly.

Overall it was a good experience. Although on the website it was mentioned that there are 4 hours of work, we were working around 2 hours / day, which offered a lot of free time to explore and enjoy the hostel. However, although we were supposed to work on a website, make ice-cream, and other various activities, the volunteering was only to clean the Hostel

It was an ok experience. The tasks were easy and precise and didn't require much time, but were different from what I applied for and it was disappointing for me

Unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected. I applied for the position of Ice Cream Promoter, but upon arrival, I was informed that the Moises (the host) no longer needed help with that role and instead expected me to work at his hostel, doing cleaning and other tasks I hadn't signed up for. He was understanding when I explained I wouldn't stay, and he seemed like a kind person. However, I really wish I had been informed about the change before arriving in the city, as it significantly disrupted my plans.

This experience was a bit disappointing for my first Worldpackers opportunity. While the host is nice and did communicate cleaning was a primary task, the opportunity was for a masseur to provide massage therapy services and there was no set up or system in place for that. No private room, no massage table and no established clientele. The expectation was for me to find my own clients and use a bed in a room across the street that host also owned. This room could be rented by other travelers at anytime. I communicated to the host that the situation was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
