The experience

We are looking for TWO PEOPLE (couple/friends) for the full duration.

Tasks:
- minding our 2 y/o & 6 m/o
- cleaning and tidying
- cooking meals for lunch/dinner
- other tasks

What you offer

28 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Dutch

Between 18 and 25 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

👭 We are looking for TWO people (couple or friends) to stay with us from at least the 23rd of February until the 27th of March.

👶 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED minding a toddler and baby.

⌚ Time off: Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays plus all evenings off
🕑 Helping out: Tuesday - Friday 830am - 330pm

Things to note:
* You will be staying in your own 2-bedroom mobile home, which is located at the back of the main building. This also has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and bathroom. You will walk over to our apartment to babysit / help out.
* Our business is closed during this time, there will be no other volunteers or staff around and tours will not be running. Adventure equipment is still available for you to use.
* Fethard on Sea is a quiet seaside village, it's beautifully located near many beaches and has everything you need either in the village or a short bus ride away in New Ross, but it is very quiet during the winter months.
* Food and drinks are provided by us during the hours you're babysitting; outside of those, you will be self-catering. There is a fully equipped kitchen in your mobile home, where you can store your groceries and cook your meals.
* There are no costs involved, other than your groceries, and we'd be happy to make a small contribution towards these.

Activities & Shift

Babysitting:
👶 Oisín, our toddler, is very easy-going; he loves food, playing, reading books, going for walks, to the beach, or the playground. He will be in crèche 2 mornings a week too.

👶 Fionn, our 6-month-old, is very easily entertained. He mostly just wants cuddles, naps, bottles, nappies, and to look around from his bouncer/playmat/pram on walks.

🫧 Cleaning & tidying - Keeping our apartment clean and tidy. Including: putting away toys, emptying and loading the dishwasher, vacuuming and mopping the floors.

🧑‍🍳 Cooking - Cooking a meal for lunch, also for yourselves, of course.

🛠️ Other tasks - could be anything from weeding, to painting, to cleaning different spaces in or around the building.

(You can divide tasks between yourselves)
* Prepare and give Oisín his breakfast (+ have your own breakfast if you like)
* Give Fionn his bottle and put him down for a nap
* Load the dishwasher and vacuum the floors
* Get Oisín and Fionn dressed to go outside for a walk and play
* Snack / bottle time
* Play inside or bake something (Oisín loves helping in the kitchen)
* Start Oisín and Fionn's naptime routines
* Prepare lunch and mop floors while the boys take a nap
* Give Oisín some lunch and Fionn another bottle
* Bring them outside again (or play inside if it's too wet outside)
* One of us will then be back to take over at 3:30pm
- During the above we might have another task for one of you, as described above.

We have a single and double pram, so both children can be brought outside at the same time. :)
