Join Our Family in the Heart of Alberta, Canada!
The experience
We’re a family of five living in Beaumont, Alberta—a small city just 10 minutes outside the provincial capital. Our home has a big backyard, two cats, one sweet pup, and a chatty cockatiel. I work from home as a piano teacher and photographer, so if you enjoy music, you’ll fit right in! During the summer I take a break from teaching and spend my time adventuring with the kids, canning and preserving, and sewing. Our little ones (ages 6, 3, and 1)

Program Details
We’re a fun-loving family of five living in Beaumont, Alberta, a small city just 10 minutes from Edmonton, the provincial capital. Our home has a big backyard, two cats, one sweet dog, and a chatty cockatiel. I work from home as a piano teacher and photographer, so if you enjoy music, you’ll feel right at home.
Our kids are 6, 3, and 1 years old, and they bring plenty of energy, laughter, and busyness to our days. We are looking for a volunteer who enjoys children and homemaking to join our family rhythm. Day-to-day help usually looks like spending about three to four hours with the children (mostly in the afternoons), along with an hour or so of tidying, laundry, meal prep, cleaning, gardening, or pet care.
The most important thing to us is finding someone who loves being around kids and is proactive about pitching in when things need doing. We ask our volunteers to stay for three to four months at a time, since this gives everyone the chance to settle in and build a real connection with us and the children. Our typical volunteer windows are September to November or December, January to March, and April to June.
You can expect to become part of our family while you’re here. We’re pretty down-to-earth people who enjoy simple living, homemade food, music, and outdoor adventures. In the summers, when I’m not teaching, I spend my time exploring with the kids, canning and preserving, and sewing.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, we would love to welcome you into our home!
Activities & Shift
We’re busy working parents with three little ones who keep us on our toes! Day-to-day help usually looks like watching the kids, cooking or meal prep, cleaning, laundry, gardening, pet care, and the usual household stuff. Most days you’d spend about 3–4 hours with the kids (mainly in the afternoons) and about an hour helping tidy up and keep the house running smoothly. We like to work as a team, so we’re really hoping for someone who’s easygoing, proactive, and happy to jump in wherever an extra hand is needed.

* You must love children! Our wildlings are sassy, sweet, adventurous and around all the time. If you are engaged with them they will fall in love with you, and you will probably fall in love with them right back!
* We do not smoke, drink heavily or use recreational drugs. We are raising our children with these values in mind and therefore are not able to accommodate anyone who partake in any of these activities
* A drivers license would be an asset, but not mandatory.
