Amazing experience! The family and the team are incredibly kind and welcoming. The location is stunning — perfect if you love the mountains, hiking, running, or just being surrounded by nature. There's a great atmosphere between the staff and the volunteers, with lots of shared activities and good vibes. The family is present, flexible, and really attentive. I highly recommend this volunteering opportunity! Just keep in mind that the place is quite remote, so having a car makes it much easier to get around, explore, and go on hikes.

The lake and mountains are stunning, I couldn't get enough of the sight. Sophie, Luke and the kids made me feel welcome and I really enjoyed the evenings when we played board games. The best part about the experience was going on skitouring and iceclimbing trips with Leo and Valu on my days off. I had a lot of fun!

This was my first stop in Canada and I loved my time at the lodge. The beauty of the forest and the lake is incredible. The family are truly lovely, respectful and kind. The work was always different and I learnt a great deal working alongside their chef. It's a professional environment but also a family one so won't feel homesick or out of place. I miss the kids already wish the lodge all the best in the future.

I didn't get the full the lodge volunteer experience, as it was under construction and the family was stressed. Pros: You'll meet travelers, explore the Rockies (if you have a car), and learn a lot through varied tasks. Cons: Remote location (1.5h+ from anything), limited food portions (being addressed after volunteers complained), tasks and hours outside of what specified here. Expected to do tasks like dishes outside of work hours. Recommendations : clarifying tasks/hours via call, having a car, and bringing snacks. We left after 2 weeks instead of 2 months due to these issues and more

It was a really lovely experience, being in the mountains was really refreshing and a beautiful sight to wake up to everyday. As a traveler I would be aware that the lodge is far from any civilization, the nearest town is about a half hour drive. Unless you have a car your explanation is quite limited to the nearby forests and lake and one mountain trail. The staff are really nice and occasionally go for hikes, climbing, ice climbing etc. However be aware that to go you would need to match up your days off which aren't set. It is a wonderful experience for anyone who want to be in nature.

Great experience for my first World packers. Sophie and Luke were good hosts and very welcoming, the kids were also good fun to be around. The lodge location is stunning and I also had the bonus of seeing the Auroras twice during my stay. I worked as both a server and a housekeeper, the tasks were relatively simple to learn and training was provided. The only downfall was no WiFi in the women's cabin. Meeting other travellers was a bonus of this experience.

Sophie and Luke were very welcoming! They have a lovely family at the lodge, the kids will keep you very entertained! I worked both serving in the restaurant and housekeeping, it can be busy at times but overall not bad tasks at all. It's a great way to meet locals and internationals travelling.

Sophie and Luke where a lovely couple with very funny kids. The work was what you'd expect mainly housekeeping and waitressing. The views were spectacular and nice walks around about. The one downside is there is no cell service at all so no data and there was no WiFi in one of the staff cabins but I believe that is being worked on!

If you love hiking and nature and just finding a home away from home, the lodge is the perfect experience. Sophie and Luke were so welcoming and truly gave me the opportunity to make lifelong memories. Everyday, I had the chance to hike, enjoy the mountains, and meet amazing people. I'm so grateful and already miss it. ❤️
