Volunteering at LanCul (Language and Culture) English Café


The experience

We are looking for volunteers who:

Are fluent in English and eager to help Korean members improve their language skills

Enjoy meeting new people and engaging in conversations

Are open to experiencing new cultures and sharing their own ideas and stories


What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English

Between 20 and 39 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside South Korea


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our English conversation sessions are relaxed and informal. Volunteers are not required to prepare lesson plans or formal classes. Instead, they support Korean learners through casual, friendly conversations — asking questions, listening attentively, and providing helpful feedback.


Activities & Shift

Volunteers typically participate up to 15 hours per week, with flexible options such as 3 hours a day for 5 days a week or 5 hours a day for 3 days a week.


Rules

We hold a regular meeting, flyering and cleaning once a week.
