The experience

We are seeking volunteers that are fluent in English and love talking to and helping Koreans improve their English.

It is a fun and easy going environment where Koreans who are eager to improve their English come to enjoy learning about your stories too. It is informal and small talk. Most of our local clients have been coming for years.

You may actually become friends with some of them and do activities outside of the language cafe.

What you offer

3 hours of help per day

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 20 and 39 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside South Korea

Program Details

Our English conversation sessions are relaxed and informal. Volunteers are not required to prepare lesson plans or formal classes. Instead, they support Korean learners through casual, friendly conversations — asking questions, listening attentively, and providing helpful feedback.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers typically participate up to 15 hours per week, with flexible options such as 3 hours a day for 5 days a week or 5 hours a day for 3 days a week.

Rules

We hold a regular meeting, flyering and cleaning shared house once a week.
