I had an amazing time at the hostel, even though my stay was short. The work was light and stress-free, and the overall atmosphere made it feel like home. It was a joy to meet the wonderful guests passing through the guest house—everyone was kind, interesting, and full of positive energy. One of the highlights was the shared dinners, where we all came together like a family, and the owner always welcomed guests to join us at the table. The host's warm hospitality made everyone feel included and cared for. I'm grateful for the experience and hope to return one day!

The guest house is a special place, the owner and manager are very helpful and polite. I really had a great experience there, Heeo is very nice and takes you to different places, and shows you local and traditional food. It was very nice. On the other hand, Andong is not the most interesting city for me, but there are many places nearby that you can visit during your stay.

Luisa is a big fan of hugs with the best hospitality! She has always been a positive volunteer. She also showed great teamwork, always saying that "We are one team!"

She is an active and wonderful woman who performs well and even comes forward to help her out as a volunteer!

Heeo is a great host! He showed us around a lot, made sure we were comfortable & made so many experiences possible. I made a lot of memories I will cherish forever 🩷He valued our opinions & helped us whenever we needed it, you can tell he really loves to make other travelers feel welcome. During my time, there were a lot of ideas and opinions coming together, so what I recommend is to truly communicate your needs in time with him personally & give it as much structure as possible. He really needs somebody to do well with marketing & cleaning, so if you fit that position, do not hesitate!

She is always bright and positive. She also likes Korea and K-pop, so she often visited the concert hall. Even so, she always did her best to do what she had to do for volunteer with us ☺️

In particular, she often showed an exemplary example of cleaning common areas before others and leading by example.

She also had a good time walking around the city with customers visiting the guest house. Thanks Moana :)

Heeo is very kind and patient. I really enjoyed the work. I had time to visit many places the guest house and in Korea. The guesthouse is a very nice place to live in, I felt at home. I will miss it very much.

The owner, Heeo, is one of the kindest and most patient souls I have ever met on this planet. He let me and my brother work both at Hanok house, a beautiful 400 years old Korean mansion in the countryside (~ 40mn away from the city center), & at the guesthouse, doing cleaning, setting up beds, laundry, check-in, organizing social club and language exchange. The work was diverse and really fun, a great exp for us! Plus, Heeo made us discover local events, foods, places you would never hear of otherwise. & He always helped us when needed. It felt like family, and I am really grateful for that ♥

Heeo is a wonderful host! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and easy-going. Thanks to him, I got very close to Korean culture, lifestyle, and history. The work was totally fine, but, of course, it requires personal responsibility. I also had a lot of time for my own exploration.

Andong is a beautiful city full of culture, history, warm people, and lovely places to visit. It's a great option if you want to break out of your routine and avoid the big city. It's very close to several other cities you can visit in your free time. This way, you'll get to see many beautiful places in Korea, not just the capital, Seoul. Additionally, Heoo the host is very friendly and always helps you with whatever you need. The work at the guest house is not very difficult; you will learn new customs, make friends, and hear stories about the city that Heeo will always share with you.

Being embraced by the locals the guest house was transformative, and with Heeo as our guide, we discover hidden gems and cherished memories in the most beautiful corners of Andong. Heeo is a great host who makes everyone feel welcome! He helped us a lot and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Besides, we were able to experience many Korean traditions thanks to him, and learn more about the Korean way of life. We also met many international travelers, as well as other volunteers, which was very fun! I 100% recommend this experience.

She has the advantage of speaking fluent English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. She performs faithfully in the given task and often has a good evening with guests 😊

In addition, she is good at cooking, so she sometimes entertained the overall atmosphere of the guest house by cooking French when hosting small parties!! Lol

She is especially good at empathizing with other people's stories, so she created a good atmosphere of communication with everyone for 3 months in our guest house :)

The guest house was my first ever experience on Worldpackers, and I don't think I could have made a better choice. Not only is the work easy, having a lot of rest days is perfect for discovering the area! Heeo (the host) was very accomodating and allowed for my friend and I to have rest days in common to explore the city together. All the staff is super nice and everyone got along very well. Apart from that, Heeo is also someone that thrives to help you learn more about Andong and Korean culture in general. Thanks to him, we could have many one-of-a-kind experiences during our stay. She has the advantage of being able to speak fluent English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, and faithfully fulfills her duties with a book sense. And she sees the work as a whole other than simply doing the given work and handles it well efficiently :)

In addition, she is friendly with various people and knows the characteristics of each country well, so she can communicate smoothly with guests, and is considerate!
