The experience

If you like permaculture and enjoy community life, Beija Flor is your place :)

volunteers are helping side by side with our permaculture garden. You'll be able to work with basics seeding, cloning, grafting, pruning, bee keeping, planting, soil preparation or organic pest control, depend on the season.

We are looking for people that want to get their hands dirty. The type of the work can change with the time of the year you are coming.


What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribute with fee to help cover the costs with food, materials and activities. We provide: - Accommodation on a shared dorm - 3 meals a day, coffee, tea and fruits. - Free Laundry - Yoga classes - Capoeira classes - Jungle / Waterfall hikes - Surf lesson with discount

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

A typical day in our village starts at 8:00 am, except on the days that we have yoga or capoeira class which start at 8:30 am. After that, volunteers start doing their tasks which can be helping in the permaculture, cooking lunch, cleaning and tidying the space, or painting and decorating.

After lunch time, you will have free time to enjoy the area or to do the activities that you desire :)


Activities & Shift

We have weekly yoga classes with the intention of connecting deeper to our bodies.
There are natural waterfalls within walking distance where you can explore the beauty of untouched nature. there are waves most of the days for beginners and advanced below the village or 20 minutes away at Santa Teresa.
Sometimes we provide the volunteers some materials to express their art freely, such as paint, tools and objects that come from nature.
Every Friday night we have a big dinner party where we share all different kinds of food, we have a fire and we enjoy of each other's company.
