The experience

If you're a horse enthusiast and longing for an unforgettable experience in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, this is the opportunity for you! Our stable, specializing in breeding racehorses and thrilling horseback rides, is seeking enthusiastic and experienced volunteers who share our passion.

Position Available: Volunteer at the Horse Stable


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner Italian or Fluent English

Between 18 and 45 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Horse Care and Maintenance:

Daily grooming, feeding, and health monitoring of our racehorses.
Learning about proper stable management and hygiene practices.
Assisting in veterinary care and treatments under the guidance of our experienced staff.

Breeding and Foal Care:

Involvement in the breeding process and foal care, gaining insights into the lifecycle of our horses.
Participation in foal training and socialization activities.

Horseback Riding Activities:

Assisting in the preparation of horses for guided trail rides and excursions.
Joining our experienced riders on horseback to explore the scenic beauty of the Tuscan countryside.


Activities & Shift

from 7:30 am to 12:00 and 3:00 pm to 5:00

Proven experience with horses
Love for animals and dedication to their well-being


Rules

1. Safety First:

Prioritize the safety of yourself, other volunteers, staff, and, most importantly, the horses.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines provided during orientation.
2. Respect for Horses:

Treat all horses with kindness, patience, and respect.
Follow proper handling techniques and adhere to the established care routines.
3. Compliance with Staff Instructions:

Listen carefully to instructions from our experienced staff and follow their guidance.
Seek clarification if uncertain about any task or procedure.
4. Punctuality:

Be punctual for all scheduled activities, including horse care, training sessions, and trail rides.
5. Careful Facility Usage:

Respect the stable facilities and equipment. Report any damages or malfunctions promptly.
Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces.
