Program Details
For those who like organization, hygiene, exercise and variety, this is a fun job! You can help in many different ways: preparing food baskets (weighing and gathering ingredients for the cook), grocery shopping with the kitchen manager, keeping the storage room clean and tidy, organizing the shelving space, helping with inventory, helping with cooking or washing up with the catering team, etc.
Depending on your skills, knowledge and abilities, there are plenty of opportunities to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. Training provided in every area.
Training courses on offer: HACCP standards, fire evacuation, food storage rules, chef, etc.
Activities & Shift
The day shifts usually start at 9am (sometimes earlier for shopping days). No more than 5hrs/day. 2 days off/week. Free laundry. Nice and kind atmosphere to learn.
Rules
We're looking for someone who can stay for the long term, as training takes time. After a trial period of a week or two in a dormitory, it will be possible to move into a room within the community by mutual agreement.
A phone interview will be held prior to your arrival, to make sure that all your questions are answered and that you are happy to help in this area.
Motivation and curiosity is a must. No experience required.
Please send us a video explaining the reasons why you would like to help.
