Kazu san and Cham were very hospitable and welcoming right from the start. From getting me off the bus to a great goodbye at the bus station. Cham's cooking never failed to amaze, and the fruit we got to eat was spectacular. The work was nice and steady, not too hard. Having three days off per week was very nice to relax and have much needed time for chores and exploring 👍 Thank you so much for everything!!

Winston stayed with us about 2 weeks. He helped us a lot of weeding, cleaning, taking care of animals etc. Winston is a very mature volunteer even though he is only 18 years old. He is a very polite, smart and helpful young gentleman. I am sure all hosts would like to work with him. Thank you so much once again for your coming and your great work.

Had a great stay at the farm Orchards. Peaceful and serene lifestyle, working 4 days a week 8:30-5pm with 1.5hrs for delicious lunch. Flexible (to a degree) with pick-up and drop off assistance, mostly due to having a baby and elderly parent to look after. I asked to be picked up and dropped off at different times stated on their information site and they nicely accommodated to that. The commute to the city is 1hr and buses are infrequent. It's a 23min walk to the nearest convenience store so be ready to get lots of steps in. If you're ok with that, it's quite nice. Clean dorms :)

I spend 2 weeks at the farm Orchards and had a great time! Kazu-san and Cham are kind people that will help you whenever they can. Kazu-san also taught us a lot about farming. You will definitely be able to meet people from different countries and make friends as you share a traditional Japanese house with other volunteers. The dorm is as clean as you and the other volunteers keep it. There are 5 cute cats and they enjoy cuddles! The work will be mostly weeding from 8:30-5 with 1,5h break. Overall I would really recommend this project!

We were very well received by Kasu and his wife, they always treated us well and took us to the farms and showed us how the work would be done, all the rules are always well described and they stay connected. We stayed a week at the farm and were able to enjoy it a lot, the only detail is the heat, which in August is very hot, but they provide a fan, some ice packs for use, and always offer water and salty candies, so it wasn't a problem.

My time at the farm Farms was awesome! Kazu and Cham are incredibly hospitable hosts and I learned a lot about not only farming in Japan, but Japanese culture as a whole! Be prepared to work! If you're someone who's looking to develop a work ethic while also learning about Japanese fruit farming, this place is perfect!

It was fun living and working here. The work was quite repetitive since there was a lot of mowing to do. We worked 6 and a half hours a day and had 5 free days of the total of 11 days we stayed here. (How many days you get off depends and is not always the same). It was nice meeting new people and learning about Japanese fruit farming.

Mia stayed on our farm as a volunteer for about two weeks. He helped us a lot especially with weeding. Weeding takes lots of time out of farming when you grow fruit trees during spring to fall. I appreciate for his great help. Hopefully, she learned Japanese culture as well.

I had a really good time at the farm, I learned a lot a about how fruit plantations work in Japan. The work was mostly weeding but it didn't felt so intense and it was quite easy. Great way to start off my first WP! Beautiful place with a good view of mount Fuji, work can be varied sometimes which brake's up the constant strimming around the farm. Good size of group of people as well having 7 of us makes the evening a blast! Would recommend for 2 weeks!
