The experience

As a volunteer in this position, you will have the opportunity to take on a variety of flexible roles that support both the educational and cultural development of the school community. Your tasks could vary from teaching music lessons, assisting with regular classes or helping to foster a vibrant cultural exchange. Additionally, you could contribute to the school’s online presence through social media marketing or help at the eco garden.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Music: Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

you can make your own schedule, doing whatever you like that could contribute to our school! the only thing we ask is that you work 25 hours per week. it is a very small community in guatemala and every international influence is welcome. we have kids ages 2 until 12 years, and you can help out with classes or outdoor play time. if you dont like working with kids, there is a lot of other stuff you can do.

Activities & Shift

work 25 hours per week. the schools opening times are 07 AM until 17 or 19 PM monday until friday. on sundays 8 am until 12 am. if you work your hours, your schedule can be totally flexible. if you like to travel on the weekends thats also fine!
