Ironing Assistance Volunteer for Our Hotel

I'm so lucky I got to be the part of this wonderful family and the sweetest group of volunteers. The work was far the most enjoyable I've ever done. I've always wanted to work as a waitress and I'm so grateful I got a chance to try it (I had zero experience!!) I usually helped with breakfast, sometimes with dinner, which was hard work, but the hours flew by quickly! The view from the hill is just stunning and gorgeous beaches are nearby. And last but not least the food is the best! I'm vegan but they always made sure I get delicious meals (and a reasonable amount of jokes:)) I will be back❤️

I begin doing laundry & to me that didn't feel like 'work' (the best/easiest job haha). Then I moved to waitressing & personally I didn't find the work too hard but it's definitely real work. If you have hospitality experience or you're a hard worker, mature and have a great personality you will enjoy the work. The costumers are a joy but the best best part is the incredible girls I worked with who truly made my time special. Spyros is a legend & very accommodating. Thank you Valentina, little Francesca & my special favourite Ireni for being so warm and making me feel like family.

My experience was very good. I mainly worked in the restaurant, because I wanted, even though I was originally assigned to the kitchen. The only surprise was how they shout, which can seem rude, but it's just their style, even with each other. The work is hard, with 6 to 6:30 hours a day, but the place, comfort, and food make up for it. They may seem rough, but they're good people, and I learned a lot from them. I recommend volunteering, especially in the summer. 🥰

If you have your head screwed on right, you will have the best time volunteering at the hotel's. Work in the restaurant is intense, fun and always busy, so apply if you have common sense, can take initiative and are a fast learner. You will be surrounded by a bunch of other amazing volunteers, and will have plenty of down time to hit the beautiful beaches around Himare together. Spiros and Valentina are amazing people and will treat you like you are part of the family. You will get fed like a queen by the amazing humans in the kitchen. And to top it off, your view from work is 12/10.

Volunteering at the hotel's isn't for the faint of heart. The work is intense, but the hours fly by and it's also fun! Spyros makes sure we're feeling ok, and he's flexible whenever possible. He makes a weekly schedule so we can plan ahead for beach days and trips. Keep in mind that you're going to experience the local lifestyle, so there might be some culture shock. It's part of the adventure but does require a bit of emotional intelligence. As for me, the host family treated me really well, so no complaints there. The infra is great too—lots of food, rooms with AC, and comfy beds.

My experience was very pleasant. The work was as agreed upon. I worked by preparing and serving breakfast and also helped in the restaurant kitchen. The place is beautiful, and the hotel and restaurant are just 20 minutes away from the beach. You will never be bored. Working here is a pleasure. All the volunteers I met there were very nice people. The food every day was delicious. The family of Spyros, Valentina, Franchesca, and Irine treated me like I was part of the family. Working in the hotel's kitchen prepares you to survive in the Sahara desert😜

My time at the hotel's was unforgettable - you really do leave feeling like family. Spyros, Valentina, Irini, Elsa, and the other staff are so lovely. The other volunteers really made the experience amazing too. You get breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which are absolutely delicious - but you do have to communicate dietary requirements well. I can't wait to come back to Himare one day soon!

This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Everybody is lovely, and even with some misunderstandings along the way, at the end, everything ended up great. The host really listens to preference about work, free days and food. I had never been a bartender before, but Spyros taught me all I needed and was always willing to explain me more. The place is amazing, with an amazing view (with consequence a big hill from the beach hahahah) and I absolutely recommend it

The hotel was an unforgettable experience in my life. During my time there, I learned and developed new skills. Irini is a strong, welcoming, and dedicated woman. Her culinary creations were the best food I've ever had. Nartila and Elsie, who also work there, brightened my days with their lively and joyful presence. I will surely miss this place. I am very grateful for every opportunity I have had here.

I 100% recommend this place for volunteering if you want to learn the basics of restaurant and hotel tasks, as well as practice your English. You will never go hungry, and the food is delicious! It's also a great opportunity to learn about the local culture. Thank you for everything, Spyros, Irini, Elsa, Narti and Christoph!! It was a very nice experience, and the staff were always very kind and concerned about your well-being 😊🫶🏼✨
