The experience

Volunteers will have the opportunity to help and work with kids, as well as visiting orphans and widows. This positions involves painting, repair, maintenance. Daily activities can be personalized on the individual and can range from doing maintenance or work projects on the facility or visiting families and delivering food bags or helping with our weekly kids events.


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 100 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteer contribution helps pay for water, electric, and projects within the local community.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Our family lives on the property and our volunteers work side by side as we serve our community in Poptun Guatemala.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to help and work with kids, as well as visiting orphans and widows. Here in Poptun, Guatemala we would love your assistance in supplying food and water to those in need.

Our place can hold up to 16 people and has been helping for six years.

No drugs or alcohol are permitted on the property.
We ask that you respect the culture.
The gates of the property are locked at 10pm every night for security reasons and remained locked all night.
