The experience

We are a community of 60 people living in an ecovillage in Italy, dedicated to wellness, health, and meaningful connections. Join us as a volunteer and lend a hand in the kitchen, cleaning, daily tasks, sharing cultural experiences and help with event organisation. We’re also looking for people with social media skills to help us spread the word about our lifestyle and projects!

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: € 21 Per day

Description: To cover expenses for food, associacion card, accomodation and transport


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner Italian or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 70 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

The San Pietro in Cerro ecovillage hosts the main activities, both for-profit and non-profit, generated by the intentional community. These include: Naturopathy School, Holistic Massage School, Natural Cooking School, Naturopathic Paths, Detox Stays and Holistic Massage. The volunteers can participate in meditation sessions (every day). In addition, for a fee, you can book massages, holistic treatments and meetings with naturopaths. (for now the session of meditation are only in italian)

The municipality of San Pietro in Cerro does not have its own train station. You can reach either the station in Fiorenzuola (in the municipality of Fiorenzuola d'Arda, approximately 13 km away) along the Milan - Bologna railway line. Continue to San Pietro in Cerro by taking the "Tempi" bus line.


Activities & Shift

The week experience starts on Tuesday and finish on sunday afternoon.
On sunday evening and on monday the canteen and other services are closed.
Volunteer activities take place in the morning from 9:00 to 12:00 or in the afternoon from 15:00 to 18:00. A breakfast buffet will be available in the communal dining room from 8:00 until 9:00. Lunch and dinner are in the common dining room at 12:30 and 19:00. Meditation practices are held in the church every day at 7:00 am, 1:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

You will eat plant-based food according to traditional Mediterranean recipes, using food that is as organic, seasonal and zero km as possible.

2. ⁠Animals are not allowed for this experience
3. ⁠the use of drugs, tabacco and alcohol is not permitted
4. ⁠Bring bed linen and household linen
5. ⁠Remember to pack clothes that you will need for manual work (including a pair of gloves) and, depending on the season, suitable clothes for working outdoors.
6. ⁠If you can, prefer environmentally friendly detergents.
7. ⁠The accommodation must be cleaned before you leave.
