Great experience!Teachers and staff are very nice and welcoming, and the students are always happy to learn and have discussions. You have a private accommodation and a shared kitchen, and plenty of time of to explore the area around Latacunga. I totally recommend this experience.

We had a great time at Ingles Rapido Cotopaxi. The days volunteering were fun, having conversations with the students and helping with videos and presentations at the institute. Although you weren't given much direction for your conversations it meant you could talk about whatever you or the students wanted, they gave us local recommendations and tips for travelling which was great! All the staff are lovely and helpful too. Latacunga itself is small and rather quiet, there are also lots of nearby villages to explore. It's a good place to relax and chill for a couple of weeks.

My time here has been great. The staff have been super nice and welcoming and made sure the working atmosphere was great. The kids are eager to learn and it's interesting to speak with them and learn more about their culture. Yet, it can get draining, having the same conversations over and over again. Latacunga is a relaxed town, very laid-back, so it's a great volunteering if you want some time to relax. All in all, I enjoyed my stay a lot and would recommend :)

I had an amazing experience teaching English through Worldpackers in Latacunga Ecuador. The location was great—safe, fun, and close to downtown, with the beautiful Cotopaxi volcano nearby. The people were friendly, respectful, and always helpful, making me feel truly welcome. I was able to immerse myself in the local culture, grow both personally and professionally, and connect deeply with my students, who were eager and excited to learn. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone looking for meaningful cultural exchange and a rewarding teaching experience in Latacunga Ecuador.

Volunteering at SALC was truly one of my best experiences — I even extended my stay! Karen and the whole team are incredibly welcoming and take great care of you during your stay. You work 3 days a week, 6 hours a day, and have plenty of time to explore the beautiful city around. The rooms with private bathrooms are very spacious, and the kitchen is perfect for cooking and meeting others. The kids' English levels range from A1 to C1, giving you a lot of topics to work with. I definitely recommend it! Thank you so much again for everything!

I really enjoyed my stay at SALC! Karen and the staff were kind and sweet and made me feel welcome. The hours were respected, I worked 3 days a week from 10-1 and 3-6 practicing English conversation with students of different levels. There was an activity once a week, and I got to teach the students yoga, which was really fun! The accommodation and kitchen were very comfortable, and on the weekends I got to explore the surrounding areas. Thank you so much Karen and SALC!

This can be a great opportunity, depending on your expectations. You get a private room/bathroom but may need to bring sheets. The town seems safe except for pickpockets. Lots of easy trips nearby. Work is mostly 15-minute conversations, but guidance is limited, so bring materials. The schedule is flexible, with 3 days off. Staff is friendly but not always helpful. Staff speaks mostly English with you. Internet is unstable. Free laundry means hand-washing in the sink. Despite issues, I enjoyed the students and cultural experience—worth it if you don't mind minor inconveniences.

I like everything about it and the team, the team was so nice. All what you need is some creativity to do some activities for the students & to speak in English with students from different levels. one thing that you need to take in to consideration is only that the room at 4th floor of the same the school building and same floor of facilities. you will share same kitchen and floor with students.
