The experience

“Expand Peru” invites you to be part of a unique experience in the heart of the Peruvian jungle. In the village of “La Florida,” we are excited to offer you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and women, contributing to the overall growth and development of this community.

Location: La Florida / Village in the Jungle of Peru – La Merced Province – Junín Region.
Beneficiary Population: Children and Empowered Women.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 150 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Expand Perú is financed by the contribution made by volunteers for their accommodation, services and permanent assistance. It also finances our own project and guarantees the continuity of the administrative and operational work of the organization. Expenses are $200 USD per week or $750 USD per month.

What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Transformative Education for Children: Our project focuses on non-formal education, covering various subjects and nurturing curiosity through artistic, recreational, and sports activities. We actively engage in creating community orchards, merging the magic of learning with nature. Featured activities include playful classes, interactive games, and community orchards, fostering love for sustainability.

Empowered Women, Strengthened Community: We empower women with economic activities, from traditional skills like embroidery to productive baking workshops, fostering personal and community growth.

Featured Activities: Transformative embroidery and sewing, and promoting equality through a community bakery.
