Left a week early due to allergies Work is physically demanding as expected tasks included moving fences feeding and milking goats cleaning hay and poop Milking and bottle feeding baby goats was not always easy but rewarding Communication was sometimes tricky due to the language barrier Not everyone will be fully prepared and that's okay The point is to learn see if it's for you and I encourage trying Food was great accommodation was good Bring waterproof gear and work gloves Safe but expect long hours unpredictable conditions and lots of physical work

Staying at La Servaja with the farm and Eva was an unforgettable experience. My help was appreciated, and I fully immersed myself in farm life. The work is intense—expect to work more than stated on the profile, with no rest days if you agree, as the animals need daily care. I learned so much, and the experience was incredibly rewarding. If you love animals and are ready for real farm life, this is the place for you!

My stay at the farm and Eva's farm was extraordinary. I enjoyed every day and everyone - from people to animals ;) they are incredible hosts, they not only are available for you to find your place in their daily routine, but also open to share their lifestyle and values, and masterchef level meals ;) Having to deal with animals, be prepared to work hard and adapt to needs and priorities: it may require you to work longer and harder, but it is totally rewarding. If you truly want to experience what it means to be a Shepard, I couldn't recommend this experience more! Hope to be back there soon!

Unfortunately, my worst experience ever (and the only bad I had so far with WorldPackers)… I do not fear working alone 8-10 hours a day, but they put you in a part of the house and barely talk to you, except for what to do and blame you on what you did wrong. So there is a real cultural exchange here, just felt like an unpaid employee. The worst part was when I left; there was a misagreement on what needed to be cleaned, and the 2 hosts responded with verbal violence and physical agressivity. I was insulted and being told I did nothing good (which was not said during my stay). Unacceptable.

This two weeks with the farm was a perfect opportunity to experience how a shepherd's life looks like. I could immerse myself into the Italian countryside lifestyle, which means, sometimes you have to work all the day, but this is absolutely worth it. I loved to work with the goats, my favourite part was when we went to the pasture with goats in the morning. the farm cooks very good dishes, the pastas and the cheese are wonderful and the house is really cosy.

This was an immersive experience! Secluded within the green landscape of Ceva, the goat farm's operation requires daily routine in which your contribution is most important. You will become acquainted with the beautiful nature of goats, these clever and often underestimated animals, by taking them for walks, feeding and milking them. You may also have an input in the small cheese factory, as well as other jobs required around the farm area. In return, the farm makes the most delicious pizzas and pastas, as he shares entertaining stories with you in his cosy farmhouse.

Working with the goats in the beautiful Italian Alps and Ceva has been an absolute blast, even if it can be stressful at times. the farm is such a wonderful person always open to discussion, who learned me so much about everything. An unforgettable experience through a shepard's perspective, from the goat caring to the process of making cheese (that is of course delicious by the way). To rock n'roll, Eva, Francesco, Ramona, Miquella and others that contributed to my wonderful experience and most importantly to the farm : grazie a tutti per tutto, fino a quando non ci incontreremo di nuovo !

A warm welcome, Good nights, Great meals, And a little sad to leave this place where poetry and philosophy of life meet. Every person, every animal made an impression on me, and I'll be sharing the memories of this magical first experience with my loved ones. I often remember the moment when I was up in the mountains... Wherever I go, I'll see a road. Thank you the farm, thank you volunteers, thank you everyone !

I had two amazing weeks at the farm's farm. Every day is as described with some twists when the goats want to do their own thing or when there's visit. Be aware that this is a physically demanding experience where you'll work from 8am-8pm with some breaks in between. You will carry heavy stuff by yourself and go up the mountain several times a day. You might also get some bruises from the goats. Bring work clothes, ideally long sleeve/socks since there are ticks. the farm is very kind but it is very important to have clear communication with him. I already miss my babies, Brubru, Guapo & Lupo!

Be aware that it's a full experience - you work every day, as you are creating this place too. It's not an usual volunteering programme, it's a sneak peak into true shepherd's life and even though it can be tiring at times - when you get the good perspective (which is literally life changing if you're willing to learn it!) you can get a lot out of it. Be prepared for what you sign up for though, and then enjoy the farm's amazing pastas, cuddling all my sweet friends (dogs and goats) beautiful surroundings and obviously the stay itself. Thank you very much again the farm, all the best wishes for you!
