I left early because no hot water, can't use the kitchen between 8am and 8 pm (Liz and I were told AFTER we arrived), boring due to very few students needing help - avg. helping for just 30 minutes in every 4 hour shift and they say “lunch every day” yet it's only every weekday. You may enjoy it here but I will never go back to SALC Manta.

I had a great time at Inglés Rápido! The team was wonderful and all of the students are incredibly sweet. We worked for 4 hours a day practicing English conversations with the students and helping them complete their workbooks. In our spare time we took trips to the beach, local restaurants, and other activities. I highly recommend this experience! I will miss all my fellow teachers and staff greatly and I hope to be back in the future :)

I thought Ingles Rapido was absolutely great. For a start the accomodation was the best I had ever had at a project as you get your own spacious bedroom and bathroom. Due to Robin, Diego the local teachers and the other volunteers' involvements the day to day operations at Ingles Rapido run like clockwork. Big shoutout to the team at Ingles Rapido 🙌🏼

It was a great experience. The work was fulfilling. Robin, the host, was lovely. Manta was nice to explore and quite really giving me a chance to focus inwards and find myself and what works for me as a person. Finally, the housing was great because I had my own room and bathroom. Oh, and there is a pool, hammocks and the school is a quick walk to the beach. I highly recommend!

My experience in the school was amazing. So much so I came back after a quick trip home. The flexible teaching schedule allows for plenty of time to explore the city, enjoy the beach, or relax by the pool. The out of class excursions with the students were a lot of fun and even was able to take advantage of the opportunity to shoot commercial ads for the school. Weekends and holidays we visited different towns, beaches and cultural sites. The students/staff create an environment that made everyday better than the next and with something to always look forward to!

Wow, this experience has been absolutely incredible! I got the pleasure of stay here for 2 months, I could not recommend volunteering here more. The host and staff at the school have been extremely welcoming and just amazing to work with. The school/house is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are private and pretty big and there is also a pool out back. The host was is a great guy. He always willing to show me around, if i wanted to do something like go to the beach or go to a nice restaurant he was always happy to take me. I will definitely be volunteering here again!

I was at Inglés Rápido from January 25th through February 16th, 2024. Robin and all the teachers were very welcoming and supportive. You have a private bedroom and bathroom with a full kitchen upstairs. The school is very well organized and the work consisted of being available for the students for 4 hours per day Monday - Friday. A teacher refers a student to you when he/she is ready, tells you what lesson they are on, and you have a book that tells you exactly what to review with them. The students too were great to work with. I'll miss not seeing them progress further.
