The project are just a beautiful place inhabited by loving people and beautiful animals (dogs and cats)! I can highly recommend people to come here and feel the nature. Carlos and his parents Gladyz and Pedro are living and expanding their homestay with campsites and breathtaking views - you should come and help them. The work can be physical but it's rewarding and you can always contribute with own ideas :)

Had an amazing time, first experience with world packers and couldn't recommend it more. Carlos, Pedro & Gleydiz were so welcoming and kind. The food which was prepared for our meals was always so tasty, the work hours were as an agreed, hard but very rewarding work. The location itself is beyond beautiful in the Mountains outside of Bogota, with plenty of walks and fresh air. I hope to come back again in the future, not a single complaint. Thank you to the host for an incredible experience.

This peaceful farm in the Colombian mountains is the perfect volunteer spot. We worked five hours daily and had the rest of the day to relax or explore. The air is fresh, the views are stunning, and the gardens offer great spots to unwind. The buildings are full of beautiful art, and Wi-Fi and amenities are excellent. Carlos, Gleydiz, and Pedro are warm and welcoming, and the animals are adorable. The property is close to nearby towns, a waterfall, and a lagoon. Just a few hours from Bogotá, I'll definitely return!

Spending some time in the project has been an amazing experience. Carlos, Gleydiz and Don Pedro are incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the very beginning. The views are stunning and the food we were given was always delicious. There are plenty of spaces to relax around the finca after work in the morning, as well as areas to explore nearby (waterfall, magic tree, green lagoon and villages of Ubalá, Gachetá and Gachala). Another plus are the really friendly cats and dogs on the farm that were so nice to be around too :) Could not recommend this position enough!

Lorne and I really enjoyed our time at the project. Carlos and his parents are so lovely, and welcomed us like family. We loved their dogs (Vallenato & Cumbia). The work was tough but fair for the delicious meals that were provided and comfortable sleeping area. Despite our basic Spanish we were able to enjoy playing games together, and learning about eachother and the countryside of Colombia. There are a couple of walks in the area including Laguna Verde and we also visited Gacheta and Ubalá.

My partner and I spent just over two weeks at the project. Carlos and his parents were so incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Our Spanish is very weak, but they were very patient and understanding as we fumbled through sentences. We were always able to communicate our needs, and we were able to understand Carlos' needs as well. The work is interesting and fair. We worked on a variety of tasks including traditional building practices, small scale farming, onsite greywater treatment and the opportunity to create some art. The food is very healthy and balanced. We never went hungry.

I had an enjoyable stay in Ubalá, Colombia. The view is breathtaking and very pleasant to wake up to every morning. Carlos communicated with me my schedule very clearly. I enjoyed hanging out with the two dogs and one cat. It's close enough to stores where you don't need to worry about bringing too much, as you can buy it there. By the end of my stay I enjoyed walking around and going to the Pueblo. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity in the nature, I recommend this volunteer opportunity!

I loved staying at the project. Carlos is so welcoming and eager to share his project with others. The views are incredible and this place is incredible to relax and get away from the stress of cities for a little bit. The animals are so cute! The work is very fair and the food and drinks Carlos gives you are amazing! If you want to engage with locals, would definitely recommend :)
