Program Details
We're looking for handy people who can fix, repair, paint, and shop for parts without the need of heavy oversight from us. We want people who can work on their own, and use their prior knowledge (or YouTube! we don't expect you to have done it ALL) to figure out how to solve problems. Therefore, we are looking for someone with *some* previous experience, even if it is just from fixing up your own home! This doesn't mean we won't be around to help, but this position will ideally be filled by someone with their own skill set.
In exchange for working 25 hours per week (5 5-hour days), you'll receive 2 days off, free food, free accommodation, and stories that you'll tell your kids one day.
Activities & Shift
Things in a hostel break and deteriorate frequently so you're looking at an array of things to fix, from installing and changing door handles and mechanisms to replacing and installing small ventilators to changing toilet seats, to scraping and sanding and painting walls, replacing broken shower heads and so much more.
Your shifts are typically from 11 am till 4 pm. However, if on some days you'd like to start earlier or later for one reason or another (like drinking too much on the previous night's pub crawl... we've all been there 😬), we can likely shift it around. Just make sure to ask a manager for approval!
Rules
We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks but stays of a month or more are preferred.
In the event that a project demands more attention, or in case of an emergency, we might ask you to work more hours (which would not be required, just offered) and pay you 5€/h for each extra hour if you'd be interested.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND digital nomads to stay with us, nor anyone with any online courses.
