The experience

I hope to host someone, who can help me with some basic house work and DIY. Help prepare guest room for Airbnb guests.

Help me with some basic cleaning, and painting walls, and generally filling time doing 'odd jobs' around my home.

I am a relaxed individual, and open to making sure you get what you want out of your visit to the area. I am a teacher by profession and I will provide English lessons, as well as general chat throughout the day.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

My project is to help out in my private home. It is not an organisation with a team of staff or volunteers. It is my private home.

We will work together, therefore if your objective is to practice English, this can be achieved on a daily basis. My profession is teaching and previous volunteers have often told me that, every day, they learn a lot.

We will come to an agreement about the help you can offer, and create a schedule that suits us both. Aside from my projects, some previous guests have wanted to work on their own project (I have good internet connection and there's a great study area in the local library).

Some have enjoyed having a routine of visiting the gym most days (£30 for 30 day membership). I'd enjoy having this in our daily schedule.

Or a morning walk by the sea. And some enjoyed exploring the pubs in the town.
