The experience

Because the farm is also a conservation forest, the main house is an old stone ruin and the internal walls need to be plastered. The 36 sqm includes the kitchen and living area. I welcome any applications from anyone skilled with plaster especially working with stone.

Ideally, you could also tile part of the kitchen walls but first we must render them!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate French

Between 25 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Work with available tools - communicate with the team before arriving about what tools are mandatory to ensure a successful project.

The farm has a LOT of tools including a cement mixer but happy to purchase what is needed.

Activities & Shift

The main goal of this activity is to render the walls and prevent moisture from coming inside.

Rules

The farm is a humble place surrounded by glorious nature. I welcome individuals who want an experience to live in nature and live with animals. We eat really good food every night and as the weather cools, we can build bon fires and enjoy the night skies.
