Program Details

We will arrange for you to stay at a volunteer house called the Green House, located about 5 km from downtown Da Nang. The Green House is a clean, comfortable, and safe place to live. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet and connect with volunteers from many different countries around the world. You will live and work alongside them, sharing memorable experiences as a volunteer in Vietnam. We will provide daily meals, transportation to your project sites, and a team of Vietnamese staff who speak English well and are ready to support you throughout your volunteer work with the organization.

You don’t need any special skills to join this program. All you need is compassion and a desire to help ease the pain and hardship of those in difficult circumstances — abandoned children, people with disabilities, and homeless elderly individuals. Our staff team and other volunteers will work with you to plan activities, and will accompany you to the placement sites to carry out the work.

During your time with us, we will also offer cultural activities so you can learn more about Vietnamese culture, such as Vietnamese language lessons, cooking classes, city tours around Da Nang, and shared dinners with Vietnamese people and fellow volunteers. At the end of your program, we will present you with a certificate of participation and a small souvenir as a token of appreciation.

Activities & Shift

Each week, you will work from Monday morning to Friday morning. After that, you will have a long weekend break starting from Friday afternoon. Your daily schedule is as follows:
• Morning (7:30 AM – 11:00 AM): Assisting with physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other activities for disabled people
• Noon (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM): Lunch and rest at the Green House
• Afternoon (1:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Assisting with providing childcare and aged care for children and old people
• Evening: This is usually your free time to study, work, or explore Da Nang City. Occasionally, you may take part in cultural experiences organized by us, such as Vietnamese language classes, Vietnamese cooking lessons, dinner and karaoke with our staff.
Each week, you will work approximately 16 hours for this program. During the remaining time, you will have the opportunity to support us in our educational projects for underprivileged children. This will provide you with another rewarding and meaningful volunteer experience.
