Program Details

We are implementing healthcare and treatment programs for approximately 100 individuals with physical and mental disabilities at the Social Protection Center in Da Nang City. The patients include those who have suffered from strokes, individuals with cerebral palsy, accident-related disabilities, children with autism, and children with mild intellectual disabilities. Volunteers will support our physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and staff in carrying out physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and sensory programs for the patients at the center. When they arrive, our staff and other volunteers will provide them with training on how to prepare and conduct the activities. If they have a background in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or disability care, we highly encourage them to apply their knowledge and experience to our activities and to share them with us and other volunteers to further develop and improve the program. Each week, you will work approximately 15 hours for this program. During your free time, you will have the opportunity to assist with teaching and social work programs.

Activities & Shift

In the mornings, you will usually work at the social protection center and the school for children with disabilities. There, you will assist with physical therapy and rehabilitation activities for people with disabilities, as well as participate in special education activities for disabled children.

In the afternoons, you will go to the orphanage and the social protection center to help care for and play with children and the elderly. You will also join in sports, music, and recreational activities for the elderly and people with disabilities.

The morning shift runs from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, after which you return to the Green House. The afternoon shift is from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Rules

If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Vietnam, you will need to apply for a volunteer visa to join our program. We will guide you through the volunteer visa application process after you have confirmed your participation in the program.
