The experience

We always has between 6 and 7 staff with a working holiday visa, so you're sure to share unforgettable memories with them in Osaka.

A relatively large number of JPN language learners stay here. As many of our guests are also Japanese, you'll likely have ample opportunities for conversation.
However, we do not restrict ourselves solely to JPN language learners. Those simply wishing to enjoy their stay in Osaka are, of course, most welcome!.😊

What you offer

12 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

What you get

3 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Japanese

Between 18 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

- Basic task is to clean the guesthouse. Three to four people a day clean the guest rooms and bathrooms.

- Our guesthouse has a good reputation for cleanliness, so we are looking for volunteers who are diligent and clean!

- You can freely use the staff's bicycles when you go shopping in the neighbourhood.

Activities & Shift

< Work conditions >

- Minimum length of stay : 1.5 months
* Although only one month can be selected on Worldpacker, please stay for a minimum of 1.5 months. Extensions are possible if conditions are suitable.

- Working days : 4 days a week
* Your working days will be fixed, making it easier to plan ahead.
* You can swap shifts with other staff to take your preferred days off.

- Working hours :12 hours a week ( Working time : 11:00 ~ 14:00)


< Your room and common facilities >
- One bed in 8-bed mixed dormitory room will be provided
* Our dorm bed is much larger than other guesthouse, which makes your stay comfortable!
* Six of the eight beds are occupied by staff, effectively functioning as a staff room.
* A/C and a ventilation are equipped
* Each bed has a curtain, hangers, multiple outlets, reading light and a security locker

- Bathroom facilities are shared with accommodation guests.

- Free internet access is available throughout the building.

- Free washing machines are available, along with drying areas (a separate drying area is provided for female).

- Staff bicycles can be used freely for trips to nearby supermarkets or government offices.

- Coffee, tea, and green tea are available free of charge, along with basic seasonings such as soy sauce and salt.

- Staff-only refrigerators are provided. Individual storage boxes for food are provided.

- Those who have a visa that allows you to work such as a working holiday visa, or whose parents hold Japanese nationality and possess a status of residence in Japan

- Those who can speak English (It does not have to be a native English speaker) or Japanese.

- Those who are willing to contribute to a positive and enthusiastic team.

- Those who are willing to clean up neatly, even in bathrooms used by others.

- Those who can greet staff and customers pleasantly and with a smile.
