Program Details

We are offering educational programs such as basic English teaching, recreational activities, and some special education services to more than 200 children aged 6 to 11 at kindergartens, primary schools, and schools for children with disabilities in Da Nang City. The English teaching program focuses on vocabulary, pronunciation, and conducting simple conversations. During lessons, we also integrate sports, music, and games that use English to give children opportunities to practice the language. At schools for children with disabilities, we run specialized education programs for children with intellectual developmental delays. Volunteers do not need special skills to join this program—just the ability to communicate in basic English and a passion for working with children. When they arrive, our staff and other volunteers will provide them with training on how to prepare lesson plans and conduct classroom activities. If they have a background in early childhood or primary education, or special education, we highly encourage them to apply their knowledge and experience in our activities and to share them with us and other volunteers to further develop and improve the program. Every week, they will work for this program for around 15 hours. During your free times, they will have chance to help with the social work and healthcare programs.

Activities & Shift

In the mornings, you will work at schools. On two afternoons each week, you will continue working at the school, while on the other afternoons, you will be assigned to support health care and social care projects for children, people with disabilities, and the elderly

Rules

If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Vietnam, you will need to apply for a volunteer visa to join our program. We will guide you through the volunteer visa application process after you have confirmed your participation in the program.
