My time at TCEC was amazing !!! I had a comfortable place to stay at and learned a lot about turtles. Everybody working there is super friendly and makes you feel at home. During my time as a volunteer I had the opportunity to release some of the turtles back in to the ocean and witness some baby's hatching. I made good friends with the other volunteers. I already miss the time. 100% recommend this volunteering experience. Thank you Eddy for the wonderful opportunity

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Working with sea turtles everyday was a dream come true. Daily tasks consisted of cleaning the tanks, feeding the turtles and giving tourists tours of the facility. There were so many other amazing volunteers working here and I made friends for life! Had so much fun and learned so much here!

I had such a great time at the TCEC. The people are very nice and you will meet a lot of other volunteers there. The day to day tasks are easys and when no tourists are coming it can get a little boring. But all the people there are very friendly. You will make friendships very easily and get to love the turtles there. You get the feeling of doing something good wich is great. I recommend this Host because it's nearly impossible not to make friends there. ☺️

Amazing experience with turtles and local people. Everyone was very nice, funny, friendly and helpful with everything. I learned new things and had a great time there! I wish I could stay longer! Who wants to meet with culture and lovely locals it's right place to go. Would recommend to everyone!

I think this experience is great for summer/high season. But since I went in November, there were no volunteers my age which made my working time not that fun. There were not many people who i spoke with and which introduced themselves to me. I loved learning about the turtles and helping with the baby turtles and as I said I think it's great in summer but there wasn't much to do during winter. I think another point was that there were not many tourists coming for tours because it's low season, so I waited around a lot.

I really enjoyed my time as a volunteer at the project sanctuary!!! It was much different than what I expected but not in a bad way. The best thing was seeing the baby turtles and meeting all the amazing other volunteers and locals working there. My homestay was quite expensive but definitely worth the money, it was SOO beautiful! I think what could be improved, is that you feel really lost at the beginning, because there is no one showing you around it's explaining the tasks. You just go through the other volunteers and see what they do. All in all I would recommend :)

I was really curious about what is TCEC and learn about turtles, but at first it wasn't like I expected. At the very beginning my duties were just giving tours to tourists (which is not specified in the tasks) and clean the tanks. But after some days i got to see newborn turtles, we spent the evening on the beach to collect the turtles eggs and we went to collect fresh seaweed to feed turtles. There is actually not so much interaction with the animals, but more within volunteers. So, If you want a compromise between socialising and volunteering, this is the right place for you!

I arrived to the TCEC with high expectations of what I would see and learn about turtles there but at first it wasn't like I expected: during the first week in fact my duties were just giving tours to tourists and clean the tanks. From the second week we started to see more about the center: we saw baby turtles born, we saw rescue a big the project from illegal trail, we spent the night on the beach to see the turtles laying eggs and we went to collect fresh seaweed to feed turtles. If you are looking for a good compromise between vacation and volunteering, this is the right place for you.

You learn so much about the turtles and get to be part of this team the other volunteer were all so lovely and have definitely made friends for life, easy work lots of time chatting with the locals and students learning about their goals.
