Live & Build with Us on a Desert Eco-Farm in Tagounite
The experience
Welcome to The Farm—our peaceful desert oasis just 3km from Tagounite. Here, we grow palm trees, pomegranates, corn, and citrus with care, and slowly bring our mud-brick Berber guesthouse to life.
This is not just an ecological project—it’s a shared dream of simple, sustainable living in harmony with the land. Volunteers are part of the family: you’ll help with gardening, natural building, or creative work while enjoying slow mornings, shared me

Program Details
At our desert eco-farm, no two days are the same—but every task is part of something meaningful. Here are some of the ways you might contribute:
• Tend to the land: watering, planting, and harvesting crops like coriander, corn, pomegranate, cotton, and young palm trees.
• Natural building: help us construct a traditional Berber-style bathroom and expand our living spaces using mud, hay, water, and local sand.
• Roof transformation: remove old mud to turn our rooftop into a peaceful sleeping spot under the stars (yes, we sleep up there sometimes!).
• Garden care: bring life to our soil and enjoy the slow rhythm of desert farming.
• Repair & restoration: patch up mud walls and help maintain the soulful beauty of our home.
• Creative expression: paint and decorate indoor and outdoor walls with your artistic touch.
• Simple home tasks: help with cleaning, organizing, or occasionally collecting water.
We have three room ready, and a vision for more. You’re not just joining a project—you’re shaping a dream from the earth up.
Activities & Shift
We live in a peaceful house in Tagounite, surrounded by a humble garden and a rooftop that we’re slowly transforming into a stargazer’s dream. Our goal is to make this space feel like home—not just for us, but for every traveler who joins us.
You’ll help with daily tasks like tending the garden, maintaining the house, and assisting with small eco-building projects. We also love welcoming artists and creatives who want to leave their mark through painting, design, or personal projects.
We have space for up to 10 volunteers, and you’ll share life with us—preparing food, sharing stories, learning how to cook traditional dishes like msemen, tajine, and Berber pizza. And yes, sleeping on the rooftop under the stars is real—and unforgettable.
Work is light and joyful: around 3 hours per day, with 2 days off each week. Whether you’re planting, painting, or just sharing tea and ideas, you’ll become part of something simple but deeply meaningful.
Rules
We hope this experience will be mutual—where we teach and learn from each other. Sometimes, what we share goes beyond tasks; it’s in the stories, the silences, and the simple ways we grow together.
If you come from a Western background, you’ll find that our way of life is slower, more grounded. We welcome you like family—just as you are. In return, we ask for openness, respect, and a willingness to live at a different rhythm.
Let go of the rush. Here, we move with the sun, the soil, and the seasons.
We believe everyone is free to be who they are and live how they choose—as long as it’s done with kindness toward people, animals, and the earth.
If you’re ready to immerse yourself in a different world, you’ve found the right place. You’ll be safe, seen, and welcomed with warmth and peace.
