We're a hostel where people all over the world come to stay.
We also operate a hotel at a ski resort, and we would be happy if you could have a look as well.

What you offer
19 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Cooking:
Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.
What you get

Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.

Requirements
Intermediate English or Intermediate Japanese
Over 18 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
In exchange for working, all living expenses--utilities, rent --will be provided.
You can eat and drink in Little Japan for free.
Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are currently prioritizing candidates who:
Have previous experience working at guesthouses or similar facilities in Japan
Can commit to volunteering for at least two months
For stays of less than three months, the main responsibilities will be cleaning tasks such as bed-making.
Activities & Shift
Most shifts are in the morning (9am-3pm), with the rest of the day off to explore the city.
Help with general cleaning, bed-making, assist guests with their needs, cooking meals, and the reception. Most guests are foreigners, so no Japanese is required!
If you’re working for less than three months, you can’t submit preferred shift days.If there are days you really can’t work, please talk to us before the schedule is made.
The schedule will be finalized on the 20th of the previous month.
If you want to change your originally assigned shift, you may swap with another staff member.
There is no formal dresscode, you can listen to music while cleaning, and you can chat with guests on shift.
Rules
You must have a Working Holiday Visa, Student Visa, or Working Visa. (NO Tourist Visa)
