The experience

Hello, I need help to sort out an old stone home, fill boxes and furniture, can help with painting, cleaning, windows, and gardening and cooking. Also, look after my animals: dogs cats chickens...
I can give a clean, warm bed, meals and lots of free time, to do what you like,
Shared accommodation, one person up to 4 people.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner French

Between 18 and 80 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Travel insurance

Activities & Shift

Summer Volunteer Schedule:

Breakfast:
7:00 am - 8:00 am

Start Work:
8:00 am

Tea Break:
10:00 am - 10:15 am

Lunch:
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Last Hour of Work:
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Note: The last hour of work can be dusty, so you can jump straight into the shower afterward.
Some times we finish in 4 hours.....

Additional Activities:

Some days, we take trips to the waterfall for a picnic and a swim.
You can explore the nearby villages in your free time.
Walking distance to local buses, shops, bakeries, supermarkets, and the post office.
If you are keen to learn French, we can adjust hours to include one to two classes a week.
Days off can be taken consecutively (2 days off straight) or spaced apart.


Rules

Punctuality: Please be on time for all scheduled activities and work periods.
Respect: Treat everyone, including other volunteers, staff, and locals, with respect and kindness.
Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, especially when handling tools or engaging in physically demanding tasks.
Cleanliness: Keep your living space and common areas clean and tidy.
Communication: If you encounter any issues or need assistance, communicate promptly with the coordinators.
Substance Use: No consumption of alcohol or drugs during work hours or in common areas.
Courtesy: Noise levels should be kept to a minimum during rest hours to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone.
Participation: Engage fully in the activities and tasks assigned, and be proactive in offering help.
Personal Responsibility: Take care of your personal belongings and be mindful of shared resources.
