The experience

Join the team at our exciting eco wilderness camp! If you are energetic, have a hands-on mentality and share our passion for wildlife, this is your place. We are looking for a handy man (or woman) who is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Knowledge about eco friendly construction, plumbing, electricity or carpentry is pre!

Ideas for improvement are much appreciated. This is your opportunity to leave a mark at our camp behind.

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Pubs: Get discounts at nearby pubs.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

We need qualified people to help around as there is a lot of work to do in and around our luxury safari camp. Please, reach out if you are interested to join our team.

Activities & Shift

Your shift is 6 hours per day / 6 days a week, within the time-frame of 8AM to 6PM.
After completion of one week of volunteering you can enjoy a free safari with our guests (you will have to pay only for your park entrance ticket).
You can use the lounge and dining facilities anytime, and the pool facilities no customers are using them

Rules

- Our camp is strictly non-smoking (and no vaping)
- Volunteers will be picked up and dropped off at the pick-up point near our camp
- We offer you 3 staff meals per day (local food)
- We offer you a 25% discount on bar drinks
- Please finish your meals within a period of 30 minutes and leave the kitchen area after tha, so that the staff can continue their work
- You can use the lounge and dining facilities anytime, and the pool facilities when no customer is using them
- After completion of one week of volunteering you can enjoy a free safari with our guests (you will have to pay only for your park entrance ticket, which is LKR12,500 or approx. $30).
- Do not engage in drinking parties with our local staff or locals from town
- Please respect cultural differences and be vigilant about the way you dress around or staff (e.g. t-shirts and shorts are fine, but crop top and hotpants would
