My days here were really cool, with spacious and different spaces for each purpose, such as meeting rooms, a movie theater, and a space for video calls, making it a perfect space for digital nomads, with great quality internet. The accommodation is clean and well organized. Working hours are respected. Mert is a great host and is always concerned with improving the volunteers' experience, with recommendations on what to see in the city. Together with the other volunteers, we had many moments of integration and friendship, such as barbecues and breakfasts.

It's my second time here, it's such a nice place to volunteer. it's always nice to come back to the coliving start up house and see all the efforts and improvements that Mert has put into his project and be able to be part of it.

My experience here has been incredible, Mert is a very kind and caring person. He's always ready to help, whether it's with a recommendation of where to visit, a change in the hostel, in short, these are details that make a difference to our day. In addition to being a great host, the location is perfect, the staff room is large, comfortable, we have plenty of areas for leisure and working hours are always very well respected. I can only thank you for this opportunity.

My experience in this place has been quite, quite good. It is a peaceful and very comfortable place, I think it is the ideal place if you travel and at the same time work remotely. The atmosphere with the volunteers is great, and sometimes we do activities together like game night or a BBQ. Mert is very kind, understanding and flexible. Besides, you have the train station two minutes away, which makes going anywhere in the city very easy. Thank you very much for everything!

Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. The main issue was communication. When I raised concerns about tasks that turned out to be different from what had been discussed before my arrival, I felt dismissed rather than listened to. Instead of a constructive conversation, I felt blamed and pressured simply for asking questions, which made the environment feel disrespectful and emotionally draining. For this reason, I decided to leave early. The hostel is run entirely by volunteers and does not have any permanent employees, so you might be asked to do whatever is needed at the moment.

The volunteer experience was positive, with a wonderful place and good infrastructure. However, some details from the platform didn't fully match reality. The working hours varied, and I handled both housekeeping and reception duties, which was challenging. The platform mentioned breakfast and dinner were provided, but I received a food allowance of 800 Turkish liras per week, around 20 EUR, which may not cover two meals a day. Despite this, I valued the experience and am happy to answer any questions.

I had a very good experience here, Mert was very flexible with the schedulle which I appreciated it a lot since I work online. The hostel has very good common areas where you can work online so I think is a great place for digital nomads.

Mert and the team were absolutely amazing, I have had the most incredible experience in Istanbul! The work was not difficult and easy to pick up and Mert was flexible with the shifts, so you could work double shift and have more days off to explore. I felt at home as soon as I arrived. We had beautiful food cooked by one of the volunteers, sometimes Mert or the guests would help to cook too! Mert made me fish and chips especially because I felt homesick :) He is also an expert at chess. I have had such fun here, I would definitely recommend the coliving and I will be back 🫶🏼
