The experience

Hello friends! We are a bed and breakfast located in Cusco, Peru, in the historic center of the city, in the cultural neighborhood of San Blas. The area is full of stunning views, and we have one of the best views of the city. At the same time, we are an escape to nature in the middle of the city. A quiet and beautiful place, perfect for relaxing. We need help with cleaning and maintenance. We offer accommodation and breakfast.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We are Airbnb hosts looking for cleaning and maintenance help. We offer breakfast and meals in exchange for other activities or a payment. Volunteers will have a private room with a bathroom or will share a room with one other volunteer. They will also have access to shared spaces, such as the equipped kitchen.

Activities & Shift

The activities to be carried out are usually cleaning the rooms and making the beds, cleaning the common areas and gardening such as raking the leaves and watering the plants. Sometimes maintenance tasks such as painting are also required. The schedules usually vary depending on our reservations. However, the normal schedule would be from 9 am to 11 am or from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Rules

Work is 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. The 2 free days depend on the booking schedule.
It is important that volunteers respect the work timing. If you finish tasks earlier, you may be asked to do maintenance/cleaning work around the house/garden.
