Program Details

Many people is interested in Maya culture, but there is not a better way to explore than going to small towns and get immersed into the community.
You will know more about their customs and traditions directly and have and unforgettable experience with the team that arrive to our village, share activities and more.
You can get knowledge about how to build palapas or how to make natural fertilizers in other words how the land is worked in this area.
On the weekend if the team agrees, we can go to the beach or a cenote.
And if you wonder what's around our village we have a couple of bikes if you wanna explore.
We have a truck for the heavy work and if we need some stuff going to the next town.

Activities & Shift

We make groups depending on the dates of each volunteer to be able to be in the village. There is no strict volunteering day, sometimes we do things at the morning and others in the afternoon. It depends of the activities and the tasks assigned to each person. The days we do activities are usually midweek to give them the weekend off. But it can still be flexible, these are points we can agree on.
At meal time we almost always share our supplies or cook something from the country that you came from.
Some times at dinner we cook empanadas or a regional dish in order to coexist with the team and other time we make camp fires with marshmallows or sausages.
