I returned to this project as I had such a great time the first time! The family were so lovely and I have made some lifelong friends. In my time I practiced Spanish, picked olives, carob and almonds, I also learnt about watering systems and planted a vegetable garden. I had a nice room and bathroom to myself. In my time off I went to Barcelona, Tarragona, Reus and explored the local area of Valls. The family also took me on a day around the area to some Monasteries and towns which was a lovely day out!

Mónica, Valdimar and Móa made me feel very welcome and at home. I liked it so much that I will return for another two weeks! I could practise my Spanish daily and they taught me a lot about the language, Spanish culture and the other places they've lived. They were flexible with work times as long as I did my 25 hours for the week so I could see the surrounding areas of Barcelona and Tarragona. This was also helpful to avoid the heat in the middle of the day on hot days. I look forward to returning to more delicious meals, exploring and learning more about sustainable farming and Spanish.

The family was really nice and welcoming!! I love the nature and the tasks where explained carefully and fun to do but also a bit exhausting. It is easy to get to valls and I was able to explore Barcelona on my days off.

I really enjoyed my time at La Casa de the farm, learning about the operation and management of olive trees, almond trees, and vineyards. My daily tasks included pruning branches to fit into the grinding machine, grass cutting, and applying sulphur to the vineyards. Thanks to Monica, Valdimar, and their lovely daughters for sharing their stories and experiences, cultural exchange, and for motivating me to improve my Spanish. Cheers, Yuen

I really enjoyed my stay at the farm! Mónica and Valdimar were really nice hosts and made me feel welcomed. Their kids were very nice as well and showed me around town. I always worked in the mornings so I had some free time in the afternoons to explore the surrounding area, which is really beautiful. They told me a lot about the culture in Spain and especially Catalunya as well as about their original cultures which was really interesting and I got to practice my Spanish 😊. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Mónica and Valdimar are wonderful hosts in every way. Meals and conversation with the family was my favorite part. They speak so many languages! Be sure to ask Mónica for the story of how they met. The view from the roof is perfect in the mornings. I took off weekends which worked perfectly with the host's schedule, but they were flexible if I wanted to change. I worked on trimming weeds and vines, spreading fertilizer, repairing irrigation, chipping wood, and building a path. The surrounding cities were lovely to visit. I hired a car but you can use trains and busses. Valls is a 30 min walk

Regresar a la granja ha sido nuevamente una experiencia transofmadora, de mucho aprendizaje y sentirse como en casa. Aunque en esta ocasión no tuve la oportunidad de convivir con Moni porque le tocó estar fuera, la convivencia con Valdimar, Glòa y Mòa fue increíble :D Aprendí mucho de la cultura Islandesa y en general de muchos temas de conversación que surgían en las comidas o en mi convivencia con las chicas. Siempre respetaron los horarios y fueron muy flexibles con los mismos. Recomiendo al 100% esta experiencia de voluntariado y espero volver a verlos pronto :D

Mi experiencia con Moni, Valdimar, Chloa y Moa ha superado con creces mis expectativas! Son una familia hermosa y muy hospitalaria con los voluntarios internacionales, compartir con ellos un lugar en la mesa e intercambiar historias, puntos de vista y risas ha sido simplemente maravilloso. la granja es un proyecto ecosostenible familiar bellísimo en proceso, rodeado de naturaleza y mucho cariño en el cual me siento orgulloso y muy agradecido de haber tenido la oportunidad de contribuir. Sin duda recomiendo al mil por ciento esta experiencia :D PD. La comida de Moni es riquísima!

Considero esta experiencia muy recomendable para toda persona que esté buscando un tiempo en el que aprender cosas básicas del cuidado del campo, conectar con la naturaleza y consigo mism@. Las tareas del lugar se hacen a menas y entretenidas. Aparte de estar rodeada de árboles frutales y plantas preciosas, también te acompañan en toda la experiencia los gatitos tan simpáticos de la casa y una familia encantadora, enpatica, cariñosa y respetuosa. Estoy muy agradecida de la riqueza espiritual que te regala el lugar y.... nunca he comido tan rico y saludable durante tanto tiempo. GRACIAS MÓNICA

Mónica y Valdimar son una familia muy bonita! Están dispuestos a enseñarte y a tratarte como parte de la familia! Me encantaron los tips de reciclaje y comida saludable y no pude estar más conectada con la naturaleza que en esta hermosa finca.
