Volunteer with our Foundation in India to help develop a sustainable permaculture organic vegetable garden. Join us in promoting eco-friendly agriculture and community growth. We believe that cultivating organic vegetable gardens using permaculture techniques is a powerful way to enhance food security, protect the environment, and build stronger communities.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Program Details

Position Description:
Lieberearth is seeking passionate and committed volunteers to join our team for a Permaculture Organic Vegetable Garden Development project. As a volunteer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a sustainable organic vegetable garden that adheres to permaculture principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and design of the organic vegetable garden based on permaculture principles.
Prepare and cultivate the garden beds, ensuring proper soil health and fertility.
Plant a variety of organic vegetables and companion plants.
Implement natural pest control and organic farming practices.
Maintain the garden, including watering, weeding, and mulching.
Collaborate with local community members and volunteers to share knowledge and foster a sense of community.
Participate in workshops and training sessions related to permaculture


Activities & Shift

Morning 8:30 AM breakfast
9: 00 Am to 12 noon work in the garden
12 to 1:30 PM Lunch and bath break
1:30 to 2 PM Planning, update, discussion
2 PM to 4 PM Work at garden
4 pm to 4:15 PM tea break
4:15 to 6 PM Work and cleaning garden, equipment's, close animal shelter


Rules

Establishing clear rules and regulations for volunteers working in your permaculture organic vegetable garden is essential for safety, productivity, and maintaining a positive environment. Here are some rules and guidelines you can consider implementing:

Prioritize safety at all times.
Use appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and sun hats.
Be aware of potential hazards, like sharp tools or uneven terrain.
Respect for Nature:

Follow organic gardening practices and permaculture principles.
Avoid the use of synthetic pesticides or chemicals.
Treat plants, animals, and insects with care and respect.
Garden Tools:

Use garden tools properly and safely.
Return tools to their designated places after use.
Report damaged or broken tools for repair or replacement.
