I spent 3 months with Nicky and Lambi at Toneas and it was AMAZING! ❤️ They made me feel like family, I really felt like a local! They are wonderful people and hosts, always trying their best to make us feel at home. The place is a paradise. The work is easy but demands commitment. The hours are respected and the accomodation is comfy and private. I was a waiter and barista, which made it easy to interact with other travelers and locals. I learned a lot about the work, Greek culture and even some Greek! Most importantly, I feel like I got friends for life ❤️ Ευχαριστώ πολύ 🙏🏻

It's a truly enchanting place with an incredible atmosphere next to the sea. During my month-long stay, I formed a strong bond with the wonderful people there. My responsibilities included cleaning, housekeeping, occasional assistance at their café bar, and also painting. Their patience and kindness made me feel like part of their family. A wonderful experience, the best I have ever had, the guest house is a very special place. Niki, Lambis, little Marietta and her grandparents are so kind that they make you part of their family. Everything agreed upon with volunteering is respected, Niki is always making sure that we are well and if we need something, I came to this place without any expectations and what a great surprise I was. Himare is a small city with very beautiful beaches and the people are very friendly , thank you the guest house for having me.

First and most importantly, Niki, Lambis, Marieta(s) and the whole family are very nice people. While there I had a personal problem and I couldn't stay until the end of the volunteering, and although it was very difficult for them to work, they helped me get through those bad times and offered their help immediately. the guest house is a beautiful place 2 meters from the sea. The work itself is as detailed. Niki respects the agreed hours and days of rest. I recommend it if you are serious about helping because that place is their whole life.

Working at the guest house was a unique opportunity which I would highly recommend if you want to experience local culture in the most beautiful location! The working hours/tasks were fair and Niki and her family were very kind and welcoming. The only thing that could be improved is communication about our working hours and food/groceries. I would definitely come back again to visit!

I have a great time at Toneas. I was supposed to stay for 1 month but ended up staying for two. From day one I felt welcome, Nikky, Lambis and their family are caring and friendly. Working hours are fair, they provide you with anything you need to prepare your own food, and a big plus is you have a beautiful beach just a few steps from the Café. You have time to explore the surrounding areas as well as other towns on the Albanian coastline. Hope to come back some other time :)

Had a lovely time working at Toneas!Nicky and Lambis are so hospitable and really make you feel at home. The hours are fair, sometimes there was very last minute communication to establish them though. The business is still young so things are still being figured out, but they're open to some suggestions :)

I could not recommend this experience at the guest house more!! Niki and Lamis are very welcoming and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The work is fair, some days are very busy and others quiet, make sure you are willing to help out and put in effort. I have had plenty of time to explore nearby beaches and towns during my time off and have fallen involve with the Albania coast line! the guest house feels like a home away from home, and I will miss them very much when I leave!

Estuve conviviendo con la familia poco más de un mes. Es un lugar hermoso… enfrente de la playa … a quien le guste disfrutar de la naturaleza muy recomendable. La experiencia en la casa fue muy cálida desde el primer momento … estuve ayudando a Niki con la preparación de las casas. …. Sencillo y activo … luego de un par de días ya puedes tener el ritmo de las tareas. Gracias Niki, Lambi, Marietta, Mijali y Marietitta, un placer haber compartido con ustedes

No podría estar más agradecido por esta experiencia, Nicky y Lambi me hicieron sentir como uno más de su familia. Durante este mes y medio estuve ayudando en su café/bar en frente de la playa como cocinero, el trabajo es sencillo pero necesitas estar enfocad@, tener buena comunicación y ser capaz de trabajar en equipo, pero siempre hay espacio para poder platicar con los dueños y, en mi caso, aprender y mejorar mi griego. No podría haber escogido un mejor lugar para hacer un voluntariado durante el verano y sé que regresaré en el futuro...
