The experience

The Interns will dive deep into regenerative Agriculture and have the possibility to explore topics like market gardening, agroforestry, olive and vine growing and holistic animal management in an arid environment.
Activities could be: Harvesting (fruits and veggies), weeding, pruning, natural pest control, beekeping, feeding animals, moving/herding animals, building and removing fences, planting, milking, food processing/conservation, etc.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Intermediate English or Intermediate Portuguese

Over 18 years old

Program Details

We offer free access to all produce of the farm (seasonal veggies and fruits, meat, honey), free horse riding lessons, access to canus, a free meal in our restaurant and deep insights into rural Alentejo.
We expect potential volunteers to be open minded, interested in regenerative agriculture, respectfull towards all humans and animals, physically fit and proactive.


Activities & Shift

topics that could be explored are market gardening, agroforestry, olive and vine growing and holistic animal management in an arid environment.
Activities could be: Harvesting (fruits and veggies), weeding, pruning, natural pest control, beekeping, feeding of animals, moving of animals, building and removing fences, planting, milking, food processing/conservation, etc.
Every volunteer will also be working on a personal project a couple of hours a week. The project will be choosen ahead of the arrival in allignment with the interest of the volunteer. Examples of the past: Building tree protection, starting a mushroom production, writing blogs about farm related topics, etc.
