I always was interested in chocolate production & for me it was curious to see the inside process. Mostly I worked in the shop, for me it was more fun to work in the factory & during Christmas market. I was in the end of Dec till mid Feb it's a low season. If you go at winter time you should take super warm clothes, because it's cold outside & even more inside house. Enrico & his father Antonio are hard workers. They were nice & always tried to help, if I had some needs. Working hours was 5-6 hours, but the shifts could be organized more convenient & have breaks for ex. for lunch/dinner.

Enrico & his father are hardworking and passionate for the business. If we ever needed anything, they'd be there to help us asap. We got to spend christmas with the whole family, eat tons of traditional food & learn local card games. I'm so grateful for that, felt very welcome. Through this experience I gained confidence & improved my Italian through everyday practise. During my stay there was the christmas market, which was lovely to work at. Work hours were respected & if anything we sometimes worked less. Ibla is beautiful, but if you're looking for a busy city, maybe come in the summer.

This is my third WP experience with ChocoHouse and definitely not my last! Enrico and his family have been amazing throughout and I am enjoying a different side of the experience by being with the ChocoHouse team at the Christmas Market in Ibla ✨🎄✨ Truly magical! I would highly recommend ChocoHouse to any aspiring WorldPacker out there! Grazie di tutto ❣️🍒

My time in the guest house was truly wonderful. Enrico and his family were incredibly welcoming, making me feel at home from the start. the guest house itself is a charming town, rich in history and culture, and it's conveniently located near other stunning cities that are perfect for exploring on days off. The work was enjoyable, relaxed, and easy, with clear respect for working hours. Staying for more than a month is highly recommended to fully immerse yourself in the Italian culture and lifestyle. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a meaningful and enriching stay.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and my first time traveling outside the US, and it was incredible! Enrico and the team at Chocohouse made me feel so welcome from the start. The work was exactly as described—fun, engaging, and a wonderful way to learn about Sicilian chocolate. Everyone was so kind, and the experience exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return someday. Grazie mille to Enrico, Antonio, and the Chocohouse team❣️

I had such an amazing time at ChocoHouse that I decided to stay for yet another experience! And who knows??? After all, as they say, third time IS the charm! And I met such an amazing and magical fellow traveler, now life-long friend, that I can honestly say that we are still truly living… THE fairytale in Wonderland✨✨✨

Where do I even begin?🥹 This experience was everything I imagined and even more. I had been dreaming of going to Italy for the past two years after studying the language in school and this was the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in a beautiful fairytale-like city. ✨ Enrico is an incredible person with a good sense of humour and him and his family made me feel at home from the very first day. The tasks were easy, and it was nice to alternate between assisting with producing the chocolate at the factory, and selling the chocolate at the shop. Thank you for everything <3

I had a great time at ChocoHouse & thoroughly enjoyed this experience! Enrico & his family are very warm & welcoming and I felt at home from the very beginning. The tasks & working hours were always adhered to and I had the chance to alternate between the B&B, the shop and the laboratory, which allowed me to 'learn' some of the basics when it comes to making delicious chocolate. I also had the chance to fully immerse in the local culture and explore some of the nearby towns. Ibla itself is also absolutely stunning; coming here felt like stepping back in time and I would definitely come back ❣️

I had a nice experience at the guest house. As a chocolate lover, it was amazing to learn so much from Enrico about chocolate, and even produce some myself. Enrico and Antonio are nice, and working with them was pleasant and great for practicing my Italian. The working hours were as agreed and Enrico is very flexible. I would say this is the perfect place to practice your Italian. However the city is too small, there is not much going on, and sometimes it can be a bit lonely, but it is perfect if you are looking for some relaxing time away from urban life. Grazie Enrico, è stato un piacere!!

I'm a designer since many years in Milan, so as first trip I decided to choose a place where creativity was present. I'm also a food lover, so useless to say chocolate, especially the one chocohouse proposes, is just living a little fairy tale in a city that's so elegant and timeless as it is hard to even imagine. I was so pleased by the experience I decided to add some extra weeks to this exchange. The master chocolatier has a very deep notion of chocolate and cocoa, they use the best cocoa in the world, so everything is just an immersion in flavours and scent really engaging. Top
