The experience

Volunteer responsible: Teaching 1 English lesson, Helping in kitchen.
Student age : Between 8-12 years old
Volunteer Duration : At least 1 months.
Accommodation : sharing with another one volunteer.
Food : 3 Nepali standard meals a day.
Volunteer will have classes on Buddhist yoga, meditation and philosophy.


What you offer

2 hours of help per day

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

4-Week Volunteer Program + Buddhist Retreat in Kathmandu, Nepal
Join us for a life-changing experience at Hasantaar Monastery, nestled in the serene hills of Kathmandu. For four weeks, you'll live alongside Buddhist monks, helping young monks learn English through creative activities and supporting daily tasks like food preparation in the monastery kitchen.

As part of your immersive experience, you'll also participate in daily classes on Buddhist philosophy, meditation, yoga, and mantra chanting, guided by monks and experienced teachers.

Daily Time schedule :
7:00 am- 8:00 am = Breakfast

3:00 - 4:00 pm = English lesson with children
4:00 - 5:00 pm = Buddhist philosophy class
5:00-6:00 pm = Buddhist yoga and mantra class
6:00 -7:00 pm = Dinner
8:00 - 9:00 pm= rest
10:00 pm : sleep/ silence
