The experience

Hi Guys, my partner Darline and me are working on Casa Shen and have half the building is in a good place but needs more help with replacing the roof, flooring, rendering, painting. If you fancy being part of the creation of a place dedicated to helping others heal and connect and want to learn about Energy, Meditation and more you are very welcome, just have an open mind and willingness to work.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner German

Between 19 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

We start each day early with a Shaolin QiGong warm up and Qigong session at the top of the mountain where we can feel the transition from Yin to Yang as the sun rises over the mountain. Then a quick breakfast and work begins. Generally we will work from 9 until 1pm and then stop for lunch. All meals will be prepared as a group and you can ask for us to buy whatever you like to eat. We are vegan and try to keep a clean diet to maximise the Qi (energy).


Activities & Shift

5 Hours a day, 5 days a week.

Qigong sessions will be available Monday to Friday morning and evening, meditation and chanting is also something you can join in with for an additional fee.


Rules

Respect Mother Earth, be mindful of the fire risks in the Summer, recycle (bins provided), use the provided composting toilets. Be mindful and respectful of others. Other than that you can be yourself or a better version of that and do what you want.
